Swanson-Cube Method to July Comp

How's T every 4 days treating you big guy?

LOVE IT. I've backed down to about 1/4cc (~50mg) e4d, and getting tested like a mofo. My total test the day after is around 650, day I'm due (d4, pre inject) is around 550-570.

I gain zero additional total test from going more than 50mg, but my estradiol and hematocrit go up, and I generally start feeling worse.

I'm definitely in the sweet spot at 50.

Platform project on hold because Home Depot sucks. Oy vey, I need a truck.

Or a creepy rape van...

If there is a Lowe's in your area, they should have a truck you can rent for $19. I work at one and know my store has a rental truck. Just an idea.

Awesome brother, glad to hear it...

HD is supposed to as well; I called yesterday and verified/reserved it. Went today and picked up supplies, ready to roll...the truck is new and it's not in their system so I couldn't rent it.

No Lowe's up in here.

That stim package will give you some nice plug and play options big man. 8)

Not to mention you'll be picking through boards at Home Depot for an hour before you find enough decent ones to make a platform.

I was under the impression everyone in Nebraska had a truck? :toofunny:

That's Missouri you're thinking, the better of the Midwest states ;)

Ahh, this drives me crazy. I get customers all the time asking if we have lumber without knots. Like show me a tree without branches mf'er.

Lol. True. I remember that from my days at Lowe's. Knots can be dealt with, it's wane and twist and bow and stuff. But, I digress.

there ya go

edit: the grizzly bear can't buckle 2 prongs, disregard this post

 :(

Yeah, man it was bad.

This right here is why I want to coach kids how to lift properly (you know, once I learn). This type of stuff makes my brain hurt.

My older sons had to be able to goblet squat fairly heavy with flawless form before we started with a bar. I was very

You definitely know what is up! Proper squat mechanics with KB squats are one of my pre-requisites with some of my younger (and even older but less kinesthetically aware) clients.

So since I couldn't get the platform stuff from HD, I grabbed most of the stuff to make DL blocks.

Here's what I used;
(2) 2x6x8
(1) chunk of cull 1/2" plywood.
3" Deckmate Screws
Construction adhesive
Cost: $19.97

I cut the 2x6's as follows-
1 I cut into 4 24" sections
1 I cut into 8 12" sections

I cut the plywood into 2 12"x24" pieces

Laid the plywood down, put the 2 24" pieces on top of it, put 4 12" pieces on top of that, perpendicular to the 24"ers. Screwed it all together.

TSC was closed, so I couldn't get the matting, but I'll cover both sides with 1/4" mat, and that'll put the blocks @ 4".

Very nice. What do you usually stand on for those? Or did I miss the point and those are going to be for block pulls?

DUH. You say what they're for at the top. My reading comprehension < a five year old's reading comprehension

BWAHAHAHAHAHA! It's Sunday, the expectations in here are low.

I expect them for block pulls, yes, but if I want to do crazy deficit pulls they'll work for that as well.

I still have a chunk of the plywood-tomorrow maybe I'll scoop up another 2x6 and build 2" platforms for deficit pulling.

I'm about to reduce or cut the conditioning for now.

My hips have been really bothering me the last few days, and I don't seem to be recovering as well as I was when I began the Cube. I stay sore just a bit too long, and I'm just kind of dragging ass right now. Might also be a factor in my ****ty focus as well.

Booooo.

Any interest on a deadlift platform construction pic tutorial? I'm going to build one and some pulling blocks today.
How are you doing the blocks? I was going to make some for my gym.

<----possibly starting a training thread later so I have a thread of my own to pollute.

Squats and prowler today. 'Bout time I got my fat ass back in the gym...

I'm gonna troll the crap out of it! lol
jk..a bit

You should dude. It'd be good.

So dumb question, but how do you plan to do the 2" platforms? Would they absorb the strength of dropping weight on them like the 4" blocks? I ask because I sometimes pull off a 2" and would like to build blocks for this (as opposed to using mats in my gym, which usually get destroyed not by smashing the weights but by the weights rolling around and clanging against each other).
