The closest I've gotten to figuring it out is pausing where I want, then capturing it to camera roll.

no false grip. I usually don't roll back tho. I may do it tho if I find myself rolling back more

I just did a screenshot there from photos but in iMovie you can stop at a specific second and screen shoot it

Not bad for a first suited session. Form will need work. The weight was light. Battling the suit was hard. First time I've squated that wide, I felt my hips wondering around lookin for parallel, hence the butt dip at 405. Once I watched the video I was able hike the back of the suit up a tad more and I focused on pushing out harder and opening my knees more and that helped. Advice is more than welcome.

Longass workout. I put the suit on inside out to get it up my legs, then realized I hiked them up WAY to far. Took it off, sat a few minutes hating myself then put it on right side out and just shimmied around to get the legs up.

No workout tomorrow. OHP/CG incline/rows/lunges on Saturday.

Oh...video updated via iMovie... ;)

May want to work on your walkout, looks like a lot of energy and stabilization wasted.

Thanks for the tip man. Def felt wobbly. The rack I have at work is obviously crap. My mobility felt pretty restricted. I'll post up video again next time and work on it.

It'll take a little time for the posterior chain to catch up to the compression so that's not a big deal. With single-ply, keep your normal stance and just sit back a bit more than a raw squat. Single-ply doesn't stop you in your tracks like multi-ply does and you don't need to have a wider stance.

I'll try my normal stance again. My knees just felt very 'off' when I was working up in weight. At the time maybe I didn't realize how hard I had to sit back.

Would it be a stretch to say that the suit favors a "low bar" style?

No clue. I prefer low bar in general. I've heard some guys use a high bar if the straps are thick to prevent rolling back. I dunno how true that is obviously.

5/10 'Sean Smash'

Morning PT: 1 hour indoor soccer. 55 minutes too long. Consisted of me heaving and sweating profusely while whaling on the ball in whatever direction it goes for an hour. ****

Good work in here man.... Just got all caught up. Looks like you'll be handling some real big weights in no time.

Thanks man. I'm very confident in a 600+ squat. Dunno about anything else tho..

I wanted a 600lb squat when I was using my suit. I just didnt have enough time to adapt to the heavy loads. I was able to hit 550lbs for singles and doubles after a few weeks but once I got under 600lbs, it felt like a million pounds. Some day, I plan to get back into a suit but for now I want to improve my raw numbers.

Time to get honest up in here...what KIND of beer? I view you as a man's man, the leader of us young'ns. Don't let me down, dude.

Bells Amber Ale, a Michigan beer. Wife and kid are playing volleyball. Just me and the pit bull.

And I'm mad I didn't get a 3 amigos reference...

All I recall is the salute. I haven't seen it in probably 20 years.

I'm thrilled you're drinking a craft beer...I have not been disappointed this day. I'm a TOTAL beer snob.

It was either bells or Guinness, sometimes I like to chew my beer...

I'm an Arrogant Bastard guy, failing that I like beers from the He'Brew brewery amongst other dark, hoppy ales.

275x8
295x8
295x4 w/ 4' pause each rep

Was a scheduled day off but I'm unsure if I'll be able to lift the next few days. Good session today.

I'm a huge fan of pause squats. I track PRs on them. Best is 465x7-8sec. It helped me big time with depth. Brandon Lilly and Mark Bell have a video on cube explosive day and they mention pause sets. That was my first time doing it with a SSB. I keep them at my competition depth, not ass to grass.

How are those conventional deads with briefs? I definitely can't reach the bar conventional in mine.
