Sean's Powerlifting Journey

I've pulled a 5 before so stronger for me will be like 550+. I'm just gonna start at a reasonable 1rm for 531 so my percentages areent overestimating my ability. I'm doing a crash course for the next 3 days into 531 + BBB to establish my 1rm and go from there. Thinking of using 395 or 405 to establish my 1rm when I do back tomorrow. So 395 X 7 (guess) X 0.0333 + 395 = ~490. Close. Or I may just do conventional for the 531 and use the BBB to work on my sumo form... I'll find out tomorrow
Well if you already that high, you may want to do it like you said.

Train whatever you normally train for the 531 sets, then do BBB with the form you don't train, ie sumo I'm guessing.

txs bro, i did 360 w 2 spotters like 3 weeks ago. can't believe i changed a routine thing like that.

i think i just tweaked the back a little, erectors are tight as hell right now, but i can get down to the bottom if i air squat.

2 weeks out for f.ucks sake.

i'm lifting in this mother f.ucker if i gotta crawl up to the monolift...

Well you can be confident you won't get spotted by doofuses on the platform. Channeled rage makes for good lifts.
 
Ice it down right now to quell any inflamation.
 
Put it behind you, open a little lighter than and take your second attempt a little heavier than 345. With the speed of #1, I don't think 2" of depth is going to make or break you.
 
You'll likely have to at least alter the collar. What kind of shirt?

HD Blast. I ordered a size up also. I'll try it on again tomorrow when I have one of the guys to help me. My wife wasn't doing too much.

Suit went on much easier than I thought. The bottoms at least, straps may be a different story.

If there is only stiffness and no spasms then things should come back well. Stretching would be recommended after getting warmed up of course.

No spasms. I'll have mrs napalm go over it again w a tennis ball tonight and ice it down after that. I'll be stretching it all day.

Pain is necessary to remind me to make better decisions...

I thought that baby powder or something similar would be useful with the gear rub.
 
Alright we got the shirt on. Got my arms in the sleeves, held them up and had a guy on each side pull the shirt straight down. Took about 30 seconds. It cuts incredibly bad in my armpits. Should it?

Yep. Especially the Blast line. You'll notice that the seams are only one thread. They're good starter shirts since the groove is pretty much anywhere you want it, but they're very painful and don't give a lot of carryover.
 
How do you think the fit will be when down at 198?

If you think a blast shirt cuts bad, you should see what my Super Katana would do to my tris.
 
I'll prob bench in it not next week but the following to a 3-board. I'll do some heavy floor presses this comin week. I'll see how bad it really is haha

I'm curious to see! I was interested in Titan shirts before I had easy access to a Rage. I feel like if the material were stronger on the blast, they would break the skin.

My Super Katana breaks the skin, as did a Rage, but I liked the Katana feeling better.

Conditioning Day

Tire sled pulls...

x2 @tire+45lbs
x2 @90lbs
x2 @45lbs
x2 @tire weight

The first sets were up a very slight incline, then back down. The distance was about 30 yards. I'll mark it out tomorrow.

I'm heaving.

Yeppers, I played like 5 hands in 3 hours. Every hand I played was the nuts.
