A 4 people dose of KFC bucket makes my day, either that or brazillian meat rodizio...2h of non-stop eating :D

Ohhh hardeville is a good town! Go to wilminton island! And go to the "crab shack" near tybee island. Thats if you like sea food. If you wanna celebrate like a irishman and drink come over to savannah lol

Man, I miss KFC. My Dad used to bring it home every Tuesday for supper. (Probably just one of the many reasons I was built like a beachball as a kid)

I can't eat it now, it totally messes with my stomach. I would have to be eating it while sitting on the toilet, to be safe, that's how quick it goes thru me. Too much information???? :)

Nope, I'm the same way. KFC tastes awesome but it destroys me, I just make it myself at home now the 11 secret spices aren't all that hard to figure out when your a chef.

Dont know how you guys can eat fast food, just knowing how its prepared and how people sugarcoat what truly goes in their stuff (look at burger king getting busted for horse meat in their burgers) Makes me wonder if you really get legit stuff...

I have to admit, I have been a fast food lover my whole life. I used to comfort eat quite a bit. It was like a drug. Yet something strange is happening to me now. I'm taking far better care of myself these days. My diet is different and I'm working out all the time, I'm also working on some inner stuff too. For some odd reason, I cannot enjoy McDonalds or other similar places like I used to. I used to LOVE McDonalds. Initially, even after I got in shape, I would still have cheat meals from there. Yet recently, it's as if it's not clicking with me anymore. It's strange, cause I really do love the Big Mac. It just doesn't fill the bottomless pit of my soul anymore like it used to. It doesn't do the thing that it used to do for me. Maybe cause I'm healthier now - both physically and spiritual/psychologically I just don't "need" that escape anymore - maybe that bottomless pit doesn't exist anymore? I don't know. Maybe my body being in better shape somehow naturally wants higher quality food. I'm not saying I am above a cheat meal. Lately, it just seems to want to be something of a bit higher quality. Like a high quality cheeseburger and fries, a good quality pizza, or a burrito from Baja Fresh. Who knows maybe nothing is going on here other than my tastes changing, but one things for sure - it's a miracle that I'm not addicted to that kind of food anymore cause there was a time when I could not stop eating it.

Don't you work at five guys?? :)

And as far as horsemeat goes, there used to be this little place called Kelly's in the next town over from where I grew up. They were right down the street from BK and McD's. Kelly's burgers had a lot more flavor that the other two joints, so that was the preferred burger joint of my family.
Yep, Kelly's ended up getting closed down for using horsemeat. It was quite a let down to have to eat at McDonalds again. Personally I'd take horsemeat over all the downer cattle that McD's buys.

**** yeah. The US are little bitches when it comes to horse meat. I am all for using Horse as a food source. Why Cattle but not horse?

Plus, super lean baby!

I know WHY we don't.. I am just saying the ideal is ridiculous.

I am all for dog and cat as well... you know how many strays could be cleaned up?

To the tune of Cats in the Cradle:

There's a cat in the kettle at the Peking Moon,
The place that I eat everyday at noon,
They can feed you cat and you'll never know,
Once they wrap it up in dough, boys,
They fry it real crisp in dough.

There's a cat in the kettle at the Peking Moon,
I think I gotta stop eating there at noon,
They say that it's beef or fish or pork,
But it's purrin there on my fork,
There's a hairball on my fork.

That was a trend some guy in Florida tried to start but backfired tremendously when the cops shot him:-/ .... Such a bummer, we didn't even get to find out what it tasted like.
Poor guy, I know what it feels like to be naked and hungry. Sometimes you just want to eat a face.
lol.

Way to make a point there. Comparing stray cats to homeless.

Is that you PETA?
Haha, I have eaten horse. Ate it a lot in Italy. It was yummy. And I probably ate stray cats in Korea.

If you have ever had duty in Korea, then you most definitely have.

Always the last minute before curfew in korea, the mad drunken dash to make it home. The Chicken on a stick food truck outside the gate.

I am SURE there was plenty of cat in those bad boys.

Chicken on a stick, slaw dogs, chicken cheese ramen, "Budweiser" in recycled bottles, good times.

I must say that I have an aligator or komodo's stomach, everything goes in with a 1L bottle of coke or guaraná, even the cartilage and wing bones of the fried chicken is eaten without any issiue and I don't care about how it's prepared...it's a good amount of protein that's all I need to know for a cheat meal ;)

Five Guys is Fresh 80/20 Meat
It has 0 preservatives unlike Taco Bell, McDonalds, Burger King, KFC
A lot of their crap is frozen and imported and full of junk/preservatives. Hell mcDonalds dont cook anything its just simply reheated from a frozen state..

Dont know about you, but that is DISGUSTING. you wonder how they sell stuff at 1$

Saturday night i had a crispy strip bucket from KFC (16 strips) and 2 large chips then i drove across the road and picked up the new New York burger, a big mac meal and a chicken and cheese burger from Maccas. Then i had some left over chocolate from Easter.

Mmmm.

Meant it as a compliment! But yeah, I know the bottomless pit feeling all to well!

Tonight's dinner is gonna be chicken, asparagus, red potato wedges with some gravy...can't wait :-)

Haha i know, i'm just having a laugh.

Sounds good. I've got two massive beef and sweet potato meals ready for today at work as well as some shakes for back up.

I'm already planning out this weekends cheat meal though :D

They are actually packaged. I get them in the frozen section. Said chicken burgers:

That link didn't work for some reason...are they processed?

The Solution is the resident chef!

And no worries, this whole thread is one big food fetish!

I'm going to post this weeks cheat meal up...

It's going to be a full kg pork rack of ribs, chips, small loaf of bread, haloumi cheese skewers, BBQ wings and frozen yoghurt for dessert.

Something for me to look forward to!

Good lord, I need to quit reading this thread when I'm on carb restriction during the week, but it's giving me some good ideas for the weekend :147:

Tri-tip, medium rare, marinated for 36 hours in my own marinade. Asparagus spears as well. Dinner was good.

Aspargus finally in season for 1.99 a pound.. so so good....

Cook in oven for 15 minutes with garlic salt and powder = Perfect.

I am not the biggest asparagus person and this is how I do it. Little olive oil, garlic salt, and sprinkle it with parmasean cheese when I plate it.
