Currently taking DHEA H.R.T. because of low DHEA levels due to prescription prednisone use. Been on it for about 2 weeks and beginning to get a bit of acne. Anyway to get rid of this? I don't want to take B5 since you have to take like 20 pills per day and it becomes expensive after a while. Have taken SNS inhibit P and it seemed to work. Any other suggestions? Also taking DIM along with it.

Take 10/d (5000mg) for 5 days = 50 capsules
Take 4/day (2000mg) there after for 50 days = 200 capsules
That's 55 days (nearly 2 months) for $13
Even if you bought two bottles to double dose what I outlined (which is not required IMHO) that would be nearly 2 month for $26.

That's cheap! :D

Get a bulk powder, much easier and cost effective.

I agree. I recommend the same and that he get it from NutraPlanet but they do not stock it anymore. None the less what I did refer him to at NutraPlanet is still pretty decent priced.

I prefer to refer to NutaPlanet or not at all :)

I just started using this myself for the first time to see if it helps, have been hearing it works pretty good!

I tried B5, took 10 pills twice per day for 2 weeks and while it seemed to help slightly, it was just so many pills that's why I'm hesitant in doing it again.... I actually just gave in and bought Jarrow formulas 500mg, 3 pack of 100 capsules for $13.50 off of Amazon so ill see what I can do with that

Differin. Works like a charm.

Will your insurance cover any topicals?Bacitracen and clindamyacin combine great with tretinoin.

I have clindamycin along with like 3 other OTCs that I also use

Ive heard good things about Top secret nutrition InterDerm i dont think nutra sell it though.
Vitamin b5 5-10 grams a day for a week or 2 then lower it.
Nizoral shampoo but the 2% dried my skin out way to much

I would say after 10 weeks you might want to cycle off for a month or so but honestly i dont think you need to if you find a low enough dose that still works.

Ive always had bad acne, and when i cycle i take cycle assist by CEL and my acne actually gets better on cycle with it. It does a lot of other stuff too though so you might be paying for stuff you dont need. Could look into it though :)

I am quite familiar with that product...ill try the B5 first though

Sounds good :) now that i think about it i should just use that. Its like 1/4 the price of prescription topicals and works better for me haha

if the localized effort doesn't work, and you have breakouts all over, i'd give tetracycline a shot...its great for acne/pimples, probably the best when compared to clindamycin/erythromycin

sometimes only systemic approach works

Interesting.
calcium pantothenate a calcium salt of the dextrorotatory isomer of the B vitamin pantothenic acid; used as a nutritional supplement. It is also available as racemic calcium pantothenate, which is a mixture of the dextrorotatory and levorotatory isomeric forms.

It too is OOS at NutraPlanet.

It took a long time to kick in but it works well. Only sides are dandruff at high doses. Nutra does its own brand?
