At your first meet, I suggest opening with a weight you can easily triple. In case something goes wrong, you'll get it no matter what for 1.

I appreciate that. I wasn't sure how high up you ran the bands. I left chains and bands out for the majority of my last cycle of training but intend to implement it more after the meet.

Run them on the overhead supports for bench. Deads, I run them on the pins at 6' height.

Think I'm gonna open 455 w/wraps on squat (jump to 505 w/suit), 265 raw on bench (jump to 308 w/shirt), 575 suited on deadlift.
 
How much difference, in terms of pounds, will the suit make as far as squats go? I've never worn a suit and I'm curious.

It can make 50-200lbs depending on the suit, tightness, skill, and strength/weakness of the lifter.

I'm probably getting 50-75lbs out of a looser suit right now.
 
Squat 495, Deadlift 475, Bench 275. I've been struggling with bench big time. It'll keep me from hitting 1400 for sure. I'm still trying to find out if my specific knee wraps are authorized. I'm more and more intrigued by equipped lifting from eyeing yours and Rodja's log....tax return is about to come in..

Bench is holding my total back, it sucks, I use my dead to carry me through.

It's pretty intensive and costly, and something you have to commit to. Not sure I'll be sticking with it.
 
Up to 200lbs difference equipped? I never imagined. Is that squat specific or applicable to deads too? I wouldn't imagine a shirt would add 200lbs to bench...

Those are very strong lifters with great technique and tight gear. Deads typically have little to gain from a suit, maybe 5-15lbs on average, 20-50lbs if you're lucky. Bench I feel is the hardest to learn, whole different groove, 50-200lbs probably. It's all about lockout strength. I may get 15-30lbs out of my shirt due to very weak lockout.

Last meet was raw and I did 276lbs.


Right now I'd say I'm good for 300lb raw, triceps being the limited factor. Which means I'm only getting ~20lbs out of my shirt currently.
