It looked like it was gonna be a decent day, blue skies and a little warm, but now.....

And its obviously Luzon lol.

That's how it goes, and you're gonna sit in the rig til they call it off at midnight dropping a leg strap every hour because you drank too much Gatorade. All the while the JMs will be smokin and jokin thankful they have that red armband.
And, better Luzon than Holland. Just sayin.

Feet and knees together young para. Eyes on the horizon and stay limp like corky. Works every time. Aim for the roads on Luzon. They're sandy and soft. North end is the nicest.

I think I landed on that last time I jumped Luzon and it certainly wasn't soft :laugh:

Its a hotload and I'm on chalk 5 but I need to jump to not lose pay.

Luzon is one of the drop zones on Bragg.

A drop zone is where they drop you out of the plane.

Chalks are groups of people, split numerically by order of movement.

Hotloading is when you rig your chute on the DZ and load the plane there.

Got home from work, passed out on the couch; in uniform. No workout, besides the 8 mile ruck march we did for PT. (which blew, in case you were wondering). My knee kind of popped out of place (or something) during the ruck, I popped it back when we finished. It's been bugging me on and off ever since.

I had a headache before starting this, had it all day. Popped an Ibuprofen and headed out. Didn't have any issues afterwards. Overall was a pretty productive day, had a prett good pump, vascularity is steadily improving and weight is climbing (was 165.8 upon waking). Good workout.


Saturday: Lower HT 2 16MAR13

Was strong today, hit some PR's and had some smooth lifts. Focus was good, pump was painful on some of the higher rep stuff. Got a little light headed at the end of a couple of the front squat sets. Not much knee pain, nothing severe. Will work on my SMR and that should help a little. Haven't had any issues with the shaking and feeling ill recently. I have been making sure to eat a good meal before going, I think that has helped.

Will be headed to the gym to help coach and practice some hang cleans tomorrow. Nothing high volume or particularly taxing planned, just to work on technique.

lol I'm not a fan of any squats. I just can't do them. BTW wicked updates brother and love your volume of your lifts.

Worked up to 154# hang clean.

Hit 176 but it was ugly so I don't count it


Followed by 2 40M weighted seal walks (which I don't recommend anyone do)

Wasn't the best session but I wasn't too disappointed. My hang cleans need practice to be more fluid, something I'll have to work on.

I've been getting sick the last couple of days. Headache, tons of coughing, coughing so bad I gag/dryheave, and a lot of lethargy. I actually got home from work yesterday and passed out on my floor, I literally slept all day. So I will be making up yesterday's workout today.

I may give them a go sometime in the future. Right now I have ZiR.Red programming for me so I just do what he says lol.

Thinking I may get into PLing sometime in the future so I've been feverishly studying Westside, Wendler, Lilly, etc. Trying to keep a carryover for the long term goals while still hitting the short term (being stronger vs. Gaining mass/performing better)

Its actually turning out to be more complex than I had previously imagined. :laugh:

Had a ridiculous lower back pump during the 1 leg RDLs, it was ridiculous!

all honesty...I dont mind it, theres some good principles behind it to incorporate into a routine, but what pisses me off are those pecker heads that scream xfit! and try to do muscle ups in the cable rack or are doing those damn kipper pullsups while i wanna do lat pull downs and the whole damn thing is shaking....thats whats gay...if you wanna do xfit go to a xfit gym or "box"
