How many are doing "timed carbing" with GDA's?

Curious of how many are using timed carbing? Especially along side a GDA. This week i begin my low carb early in the day and timed carbing around pre/intra & post workout meal carbs. The two staples I will run with are AP & Bulk P-slin along side some "designer" carbs.

What are some others approach to this?

I'm trying to stick to pretty much the same approach, and also take a GDA pre bed.

What type of carbs are you using?

Preworkout carbs usually come from rice or my Met-RX protein bar (around 40-50g), post workout is from 8oz whole milk and 40g carbs from waxy maize, and usually some peanut butter, so 50-60g carbs, then post workout meal usually ends up being more rice or whole grain pasta, amounting to another 70g carbs.

I recently started using Karbolyn and friggen love it. I was a WMS guy, big time. I've noticed with Karbolyn I can still eat, and eat well after using it intra.

i use karbolyn sometimes but usually do a post shake with high carbs

Frank Reynolds does this, TCD...he is the one to hit up about this and about any DC question.

It's not really a question, Frank and I speak regularly about this. Use each other as guinea pigs sometimes

Was just curious to some who are doing this, kind of a think tank and for other who are curious. Kind of a reference if you will.

How many times a day are you guys using these?

I typically do pslin with morning aka pre workout meal. Have an intra shake, then use ssv2 with my pwo meal and dinner (larger carb meals)

Could slinshot be used during my workout WITH the intra shake?

I just use mine around my workout. I'm not familiar with slinshot, I'll give it a look though.

I would use pslin intra with 20 g waxy and 10g bcaa and 500 agmatine

AP post workout with 60g carb then again later at night with 160g carb (2 caps) then call it a day. If you were to do timed carbing

That's about exactly what I do. Heavier on the intra carbs though ;-)

I imagine it would be fairly difficult to fit 400g this way, no?

Difficult....perhaps. I don't go that high but could....

Pre/Intra shake
1/2t P-Slin
30-50gr Whey
150gr Karbolyn

Post Workout
2servings Cheerios
2TBS honey
Almond Milk

-1hr later
1 cap AP
*20min later
1/2cup (dry measure)
Generous amount of honey

Add protein on personal needs

That's probably close to 400, I'm workout with about 300 at the moment. Only doing carbs on workout days (well was until my diet went to sh!t this weekend)

Any specifics you're looking for?

How to do it.

I just wanna know how it works out in a day, specifically for someone who's bulking.

Or more importantly (now that I think about it) for someone who works out 2x a day.

I assume you have something along

50g Carbs/25g Protein
Workout
50g Carbs/35g Protein/?? Fat (this would be breakfast)

40g Protein/50g Fat/Minimal Carbs

50-100g Carbs/25-50g Protein
Workout (not sure how I feel about intra carbs with hormone release and whatnot) but maybe 50intra

150g Carbs/40g Protein/??Fat

30g Protein/60-100g Fat

Along with GDA at the larger Carb feeds?

Or no?

I agree, start low and work you way up until you feel "comfortable"

Your body simply does not need that much during a workout.

And it's more fun to eat your food after ;)

Just suck it up an eat a box of honey nut Cheerios post work out with chocolate syrup. Bam. 300 carbs there

What if you're allergic to chocolate?

So how would you set it up?

180g Protein
358g Carbs
196g fat

Those are my macros so I'm confused on how to fit that around 2 workouts.

You can eat pb with the Cheerios it's amazing. Trust me. Add protein powder to you almond milk as well.

I can't set it up unless I know your meal timing

I guess I'm just not 100% on how this works out.

You only eat your carbs around your workout, with the majority being post workout.

Is there a percentage before and a percentage after?

Also if one were to workout twice a day would you want the majority of the carbs around the later workout?

And just do the first workout with no carbs after? With one being AM and the other being a PM workout?

Depends what the work out consists of. If am training is cardio then no carbs. If its weight training do as above

If you weight train just do intra and post first workout and just post work out second workout

Hmm. Is that only in relation to LISS cardio or HIIT as well?

I'm gonna have to do some leg work on this this weekend.

Maybe give it a shot during my USP log.

That way I can blame DW for diet and supplementation if it doesn't work out :notsrs::semisrs:

I'd add test powder intra as well if logging usp

You're an evil genius my friend.... ;-)

Lol I thought you might like that.

Lol I literally have everything but OEP, Recreate, and PM stockpiled for it.

Gonna run the V1 alone first to gauge its effects (haven't decided on whether it should be 4 or 8 weeks) and the I'm gonna stack it all. Possibly with USPowders as well (although I'm on the fence about that)

V2 oep is better. Better for me at least no crazy mood swings or ****ed up dick tricks. Original oep ****ed up both heads

I think if going intra carbs then intra

I personally do pre and post and that's it

I'm not sure if ill be doing intra carbs or not (doing a little bit of reading into hormone manipulation ATM or trying to rather)

But I still may try it that way.

Still haven't even decided on my programming for the next few months lol.

I have a question regarding GDA's for all you more knowledgable folk out there. Basically, are they recommended for an immediate post workout meal? Seeing as insulin sensitivity post workout is already at its highest. Seems to me it would be more economical to use it at all carb meals except post workout.
