That's my new background

Yeah, I was 145 when I joined the military. Hit 195 this summer but I had to cut down for TACP/JTAC selection... Can't run at 195. How heavy where you in Ranger selection?

$!&@ man, at 195 I couldn't run worth a shi+ ... But I'm only 5'8". My goal is to be like 180 with 9-10% bf when I go to ALO selection. Enough weight that I won't put too much stress on joints rucking but not too much.

Any suggestions are welcomed!

Rucking at 200 for me was easier than when I was 180. I'm 68" as well brother. To each their own I suppose...

I guess my body wasn't used to 195.. I got to 188 naturally and fairly lean then used havoc/katanadrol and hit 195 on PH. I think my sweet spot is about 180-185. I'm a little light now. Actually going to get a hormone panels done bc I don't think i ever came back fully from that PH cycle. But that's another story in itself.

My worries with selection are the long runs followed by cals. I can ruck alright...in a weird way I actually enjoy long rucks to clear my mind--even with 40 lbs in my pack-- but I have never been a distance runner and that's why 195 was rough for me.

Do you feel like the added body weight kept you more stable? Why was it easier for you? How much of that 20lb gain do you think was muscle? J/w.

Thanks for the help guys. The threads derailed but eh, the promo is over anyways right?

Yeah the promo is long gone. As for myself being heavier and stronger just made the weight seem negligible. Now that also depends on if its weight from natural gains or from a PH cycle. When I was ~200 all natural I could handle the range runs and plain old humping all day long. When I'm at 200 on cycle the humps are fine but the runs are killer, more like a jog, say 9-10 minute miles with lower back pumps that would stop a lesser man in his tracks. The times I've trained for distance running I naturally shed to around 175-185. It's all just purpose dependent for me but yeah I way prefer being closer to 200 cuz it seriously makes it feel like I have nothing on my back and I can go for days

I was around 10% as well... Runnin 11:30 2miles 136 push ups in 2 mins. Ruckin was my thing tho... Rangers are made for that haha
