Snag continues his off-season REDEFINing

thanks fellas! :)

@bean5er - you just must not have had the ground turkey made properly. ;)
while i'm a beef man no doubt, love me some ground turkey too.

so no lethargy this morning..in fact, was hellbent on getting some gym action on. :firedevil:
decided on a simple arm session (since it was an off-day), looked like this.

standing BB drag curls + tri-focused dips
preacher EZ bar curls + close-grip bench
standing reverse BB curls + seated forearm curls
(no supersets, just casual transitions)

pump was just ridiculous. i feel hyooge.
when my arms start getting blocky, i know there's some good growth going on under there..
will be interesting to see how things look after all this, when i peel it back down.

quads recovered fairly well from yesterday.

side bowl of steamed broccoli

WEEK #5 SUMMARY

five weeks in now on 1-Alpha (last two weeks stacked with M-Sten)
getting a bit more of lethargy these last couple days, is worst today. workouts have still been good, but it's been an effort to get going these last 2 sessions..once i get going, i'm good.
still have a ridiculous muscle pump all day long - as well as back pump here and there, still nothing debilitating.
mood has been good, pretty even keel i'd say. (haven't snapped lately lol)
weight is holding ~ 208. it was cool yesterday tho, when i had some shoes & clothes on (jeans & sweatshirt), jumped on the scale and it said 220. i know 12lbs worth of attire and food in my belly right? still cool tho.
diet wasn't quite as on point as i had planned this past week, so i am stepping things up a bit for this next week..
my plan is to take cals down before pct, then i will bump cals up again..well, that's that plan anyway.

pic from this past week.

so it was the cleanest-eating christmas for me since, well....actually i think it was the cleanest, period.
i said it before and i'll say it again - i am on a mission.

interesting weight session this day, as i did hams/bis/tris. this is not a combination i use often at all, and tho i am (loosely) following my training regimen, the plan itself allows for variation as needed. which is cool - cuz i like to continuously shake things up anyway.
felt great today!

i have added exemestane and stano to the mix for these last two weeks of cycle.

Good for you snags. I couldn't resist temptations yesterday. Woke up to peppermint mocha with biscuits & gravy then was on a plane all day.

Hope you had a good Christmas, brother.

flying on christmas? ugh.

hell man - holidays are like any other day..sure we like to have an excuse to gorge (and i'm not faulting that don't get me wrong), but i tell ya, it actually felt good exercising my powers of self-control. i feel accomplished or something. :p

flying aside (unless you like that sort of thing), i hope your day was a good one as well my friend.

Thanks boss. I know what you're saying & accomplishment? Shooot, Dec. 26 should be made a national holiday for your discipline

I had that mindset going into it. Even had my egg protein & coconut butter set for the flights! Better than last year, but not snag-esq......yet ;-)

dropping the excess & tightening things up, weight at ~204 this morning..progress has been rather accelerated.
might have to change my dietary plan a lil bit, go back to excess cals a bit quicker than i had anticipated..we'll see.

WEEK #6 SUMMARY

okay well heading into the last 2 weeks of the cycle..
back pumps have increased, as has lethargy. stano hasn't kicked in yet. also my sleeping hasn't been the best.
on the plus side - diet seems to have caught up with product, as i can tell i'm a bit heavier now but w/o any fat accumulation.
my lean bulk has now turned into a recomp. which is fine, as 1-Alpha/M-Sten combo appears well-suited for that as well.
strength is still good. once i get rolling into workout, everything is fine. it's just getting going that has been an issue recently.

one oddity to note:
have had some skin irritation/itching issues going on, not pleasant at all.
i cannot trace the cause of it.

strange.

FINAL SUMMARY:
was an interesting ride..a tale of two halves really.
just to refresh, i was using 1-Alpha for three weeks prior to starting the M-Sten, and ran 1-Alpha/M-Sten stack for addtl 4 weeks.
for the initial 3 weeks of isolated 1-Alpha, benefits came rapidly and potent -- all was uphill and building momentum..workouts went well, strength was on, recovery was good. as far as my outlook on things - wasn't overly aggressive, handled things well when i got stressed. about the only negative thing was some horrendous night sweats (which i seem to be susceptible to these, i am finding). these lasted longer than they usually do for me this time around..
body comp-wise, i made some great strides in size w/o adding the dreaded fat. dietary guide was very spot-on, and i ended up getting to 208ish at my peak, as i controlled comp by adding, then tightening, then adding again all the way thru.
at three weeks in, along came M-Sten added to the stack. it was like starting over again - i mean starting over on a fresh cycle, where all the benefits & effects are potent and brand new again. night sweats hit me again (briefly), everything went into overdrive..
it was almost like i could do what i wanted, at will. if i wanted to add size, boom! it was there.
if i wanted to cut a smidge, boom! and a day or two later the changes i wanted were there.
and then....
two weeks in on the stack (and 5 weeks in overall), things changed subtly. while week six wasn't that bad at all, week seven i felt like i was in quicksand.
recovery shot..sleep horrendous..mood not too swell. itchy patches of skin. i added some stano into the mix to combat initial lethargy entering week #6, and i sensed it helping - for a minute. then, nothing. i also went up to 30mg on M-Sten for the last 4 days -- noticed nothing at this point.
was really an unpleasant last few days..lost my appetite, couldn't eat my normal fare at the end..quite disappointing.

alas -- as the pictures show thruout, i made some great progress here at the end of the year. i am fairly pleased with the stack i chose, in hindsight - i should have kept it to 6 weeks in duration however. i think that extra week was just a lil too much for me, at this time.

anyway -
final thoughts on 1-Alpha/M-Sten products: solid compounds, fairly light on the sides.

what's next for snags? i'm not goin anywhere fellas, my offseason continues..
gonna rest and recoup, and come back still hittin hard..some new toys from Finaflex on the way to me to play with..schweet. :cool2:

moving right along....

okay so i broke out the first cardio session of the year..
(actually was first cardio session since i last played tennis in september/october)
did some LISS, 15min worth just to break myself in gently.
and - wth, my inner thighs are freakin raw after about 10 of those minutes.

back to some weight action today..busted out a nice lil chest/ab bb'ing session.
felt good.

and in other news..
so this package came today.
mmm, tasty.

so, been like forever since i ate out..haven't even stepped outside the planned dietary fare by a crumb the entire yr..
decided i'd check out Subway today, the $5 footlong chipotle chicken that's the special of the month.
never had it before.

oh
my
gawddd

:sigh:

That'll be a good change of pace. Good luck with the gas, that's always a huge issue with me when I eat out.

lol
that's always an issue period, when you eat clean majority of the time then all the sudden eat the wrong foods, in the wrong amounts.

bm's get a lil off as well
:nervous:

No doubt. My wife cringes when she sees me eating something take-out because she knows what's about to assault her senses. Lmao

hell yes
large amounts of carbs too (usually simple carbs), affect me differently now..
i sweat immensely, then pass out in like 30 minutes.
(stinkin the place up while i sleep lulzzzz)

it's weird how the body adapts and changes to the lifestyle you choose to expose it to..

I agree 100% bubba. I'm so routine that when I change anything my system goes into full arrest. If I go out of town for a trip I usually get so bound up it's painful. Total creature of habit here.

i just thought i'd leave this here.

incredible, awesome, inspired leg session materialized this day..
i made my ancestors proud, with the effort.

leg extensions/ATG BB squats/RDLs/lying leg curls ss w/ standing BB calf raises were the order of the day

these last couple days i have felt just incredibly refreshed, renewed, and re-energized..
could possibly coincide with the starting of G8?
sleep has been absolutely WONDERFUL esp these last two nights..feeling better than i have in a long while.

new avi pic btw is current pic of the back.
in hiding right now until i unleash the new physique on the world.

Give & take. No waiting. If you calculate next day shipping (which is still slower than going to the store) they're about the same. Just depends on how bad/fast you wan it :-D

Agreed, my local VS has none of the hormonals though

625 seems to be my magic # these days lol

so i had a discussion with Chris (aka MrKleen) yesterday, regarding dietary intake. he asked me what system i was rolling with now..macros etc..and i realized as i answered him that my log has gone all to hell with lack of direction.

truth is: i cannot duplicate my diet for anyone, nor dictate any set macros i am using..hell - i cannot even give you a finite caloric level of intake atm!
the reason? as i quipped to Chris: i have moved to the next evolution in dietary discretion..that is, total intuitiveness of body, and judgement day-to-day from mirror. while that may sound like a step back to some, it is actually light-years ahead of any pre-made protocol out there, as it allows for total control toward my goals, and self-adjustment to attain such.

certainly, my roots lie in the Beverly International school of thoughts, make no mistake.
but, i have taken things beyond that, to what works for me. i could care less if it works for someone else, and i am bright enuff to realize i cannot teach this, as it has to be a personal understanding of your own body, and what you are individually capable of.
best synopsis of what i am doing is: hi-protein all the time, higher fats, with carb rotation..total caloric intake is rotated as well, and not just based daily on overall caloric expenditure (altho that certainly plays a part)..
it is quite fluid and ever-changing.

anyway, that said: i have been incredibly busy lately, and will remain so for the foreseeable future..
my log may not get interesting for awhile, and updates prolly will remain inconsistent.
but - rest assured guys, there is a plan behind it all, that hasn't changed..all the goals of this off-season are still in play.

i will update and try to give some info as much as possible, bear with me.
