you go to a gay fitness establishment? you do not get deadlift or squat equipment. its simple as that. I workout at home and at least I got a got-damn leg press machine and smith machine and bars you can deadlift with. GTFO :D

Your gonna bog down your metabolism bro and hit a major plateau. Not trying to be a d1ck here, just saying I don't assume you are eating very many carbs in that 1500 calories which provide you body with leptin, instrumental in burning fat, that's why in contest prep bodybuilders do carb refeeds. To be honest if your fat loss is slowing I would take a week off the diet and try to get your metabolism running at a normal speed. At that point you can readjust your calories again. At your weight IMO with that amount of calories, you are going to start walking the line between diet and starvation, in addition to losing muscle mass which is going to be a hell of a lot harder to put back on than it was to lose, eating 1500 calories per day. Just my 2 cents though man, you know your body better than me.

Yea dude I just left an anytime here in IN. Ours was pretty legit though because the owner was a BB and old school juicer so he kept up with all the equipment. It was just like 3x more expensive than where I switched to.
 
Place I'm at now is average. Local "athletic club" (ugh). Equipments legit, clean, maintained. BUT... Like all suburban places, flooded with tourists and trophy's all too often.
Will say, they manage to stay the F*ck out of the way when heavies through.

No I intend to carb up and calorie up still ....been doing that all the while at 1700-2k....4 days 40-70 carbs, 2 days 100-150 carbs, one day 200-300 carbs....all on low calorie 1700-2K, and still get plenty of fat and 200 grams protein each day. Now for the back 6 weeks its gonna be more like 1500 cals for 5 days, one day around 2K and one day maybe 2600-2800 cals (only day of real high carb). but the calories on the low carb days need to come down....trust me on this one. you know when a diet stagnates. I will not lose muscle, I take in at lesat my BW in protein and more than likely 200 plus grams each day no matter what the calories. but yeah, I do go low carb....but never "no carb" or >30 grams. so they are there, just limited for 4-5 days. I also take an arsenal of natty supps like ArA, LCLT, GDA, Na-Rala, AI, TTA, RK, ABE, you name it when I'm cutting naturally....also been on some sort of 7/11 for the entire time and will be for the duration. I just can't see losing muscle with proper supplementation and high protein intake. you never know though, I'm sure some muscle is lost even when you think you are doing it perfect.
 
you know what else....on full blown keto diets? high protein high fat and less than 30 carbs? I burn retarded amounts of fat and preserve my muscle...so not sure about the carbs being needed to burn fat. that being said, that diet sucks because you look flat on no carbs, visually/mentally its tough to look at in the mirror and continue on :D....but just saying that even though I'm not a fan of being on that type diet for men/bodybuilders, it does work in the absence of carbs (REALLY good for women just looking to burn fat though)....

I can't those kind of people. The gym I most recently lifted at was a true lifters gym, full of powerlifters, bb'ers, fitness nuts. Actually worked out pretty well and kept those who weren't serious away.

Lol guaranteed! My buddy is a powerlifter he's gonna be my trainer. He owns downings which is a true lifters gym. I'll be starting there if I don't move in next couple months

Me too... My family is up and coming so we don't have much which is nice till we settle somewhere we enjoy. I might be working at ATK a munitions manufacturer making good money which will be awesome.

that would be great if you get it. I recently downsized from a 5 bedroom house to a two bedroom. left a lot of crap behind but saved a ton of money.

Im 5'8" probably 13%?? 175-180...but Im small boned at 6 1/2" wrist so 180-190 at single digits is impressive on me. Just want to get into single digits and then 3 lean bulks in 1 years time to get 6-7 each. Been doing this since you were 3 years old...so you have to do the math for my age :D

Word just checking, I know I was obsessed with getting that last bit of fat off for a while and when I did I was just way too small from dieting so hard. Would have had better results just cutting "slow." Just trying to save you the trouble but it sounds like you know what you're doing.

Yeah Im over the "too small" bullshyt you know? I just look at conditioning/BF and how it looks in the mirror now. I get 10x more compliments at low BF and say 180 190 Than i ever did at above 200 and high teens BF. I know you guys are obsessed with strength and the scale....which is cool. Not for me though. But yeah...3 plus months cutting so Im actually taking it real slow...diet just needs a kick in the ass . Gonna start incorporating AAS and more heavy duty PH DS for the lean bulks upcoming...no roids the past 7 years for me. Took a break.

What's a cutting set?

I like to do medium rep sets (8-12 reps) and high rep sets (18-25 or so) for when cutting (maybe 2 exercises at 3-4 sets each twice a week). I don't lift heavy on a cut, medium is my heavy. so 25 rep sets on the leg press or whatever suck. big time. I'd rather deadlift or bench press for 4-8 reps and I'm done with that set. takes forever to rep out 25 :D
