"The Doctor" And Questions

StrikeThree

After talking with a lot of people I have come to realize that the world isn't really what it seems in regards to baseball. I have spoken with a bunch of different players from all different levels and they all seem to point to AAS as an opportunity booster (note: not a talent booster). I do believe that genetics are a foundation factor in whether or not your body can throw at MLB speeds. The other day, I had a guy tell me that a scout was at one of my games and asked him about the kind of person I am and inquired about my abilities. He then told me that the only reason I don't stand a chance in the draft is because of my size 6' flat and 165 pounds. Even though my fastball sits at 90 and bounces between 88 and 92 (it really depends on the batter), he told me that I just need to get bigger in order to get a serious inquiry.

Pitchers are like racehorses. No one is going to give a million dollars to SeaBiscuit because that horse doesn't fit the ancient mold of what scouts look for. It seems that the scouts say, "He is 6'5", 200 lbs, and a lefty! How can he be bad?" Then the cooked radar says 88 mph (maxed out and flatter than the earth when Columbus sailed it) at the minor league stadiums.

Back to the guy that walked up to me. He told me that I need to go to the Dominican and see what they call "The Doctor." Players go to the doc then use the baseball academies as a way to strength train and obtain a contract for their families. He basically elaborated that if I just took test, I would get way bigger and then my talents would fit the mold of a draftee better (size wise). He then offered for me to stay at his house in the Dominican, would set me up with "the doctor", then told me to put my head down and do whatever they told me at the academy.

I think we all can agree that it's ridiculous to agree to something like that after talking to someone I don't even know. My main question is, for those of you that did do test (AAS), how on earth did you start AAS? I'm not asking for sources, websites, places to look, or contacts at all. I'm more asking, how the hell did AAS even enter your life to begin with? Of course I would naturally be interested in the topic after hearing a scout took the time to come out to one of my games. Does that mean I'm going to go to the Dominican or ask every guy in the gym for Test Prop? Absolutely not. I more just wanna know, how did AAS become a reality in your life?

I have to disagree with you on 'natural talent' take the best natty player and then put him against an okay player whos on AAS and for most sports the AAS guy will win. We already know mark McGuire wasn't 'naturally' talented. Followed a good thread awhile back talking about the big bodybuilders today and sure they have good genetics but anyone who takes that much AAS, HGH, etc is gonna grow.

But back to your question AAS takes you to a new level, we live in a society dominated by looks and appearance and every year the majory industries are setting the bar higher and higher for what a perfect body should look like. For many you hit your natural potential but still want an crave more and AAS is more than able to help you attain these goals. Just go ahead an look up gi joe figures from the past until now, the figure ( mainly muscles) has grown tremendously within only 50 years. I took a class on westerns and it's funny that back in the day John Wayne and the like we're considered HUGE guys and the epitome of a male physique, always showed with their brawling prowess.

Today many men in the gym would laugh at a John Wayne physique. Standards have raised for men (and women) and supplementation is the way to reach this new superhuman summit that so many of us bodybuilders are looking to achieve

I would have to completely disagree. Then why would Mark McGuire have a job in the Major Leagues as a hitting coach if he didn't possess the natural ability to hit a baseball like that? It's kind of like saying if I were to eat AAS then I would just start dropping bombs like Mac. Trust me, if you were given a month to do nothing but take batting practice you still wouldn't hit bombs like McGuire. If I were to take AAS, I still wouldn't hit bombs like him either. The same goes for throwing a baseball as well because I bet you can't find a guy who throws lollipops and reps weights everyday, give him a cycle of test and winni and baseball training, and he will throw 95 mph. If AAS did create talent then why didn't all of the other players who were juicing produce the same results as Mac and throw 100mph?

Did they help Mac get those numbers? Yes.
Did they help Mac recover quicker so he was always operating at 100%? Yes.
Did they teach Mac how to hit a baseball like that? No.

I must stand by the fact that AAS have nothing to do with natural ability and by natural ability I am talking about genetic predisposition. There is a gene in the human body that was created to use throwing as a means for survival, like chucking a rock at a chipmunk and killing it (or we wouldn't throw anything). We all hold this trait but it is more prominent in some and not others. I feel like a lot of new people think, "Well, if I just take AAS then I can throw 100 mph." AAS is not a magic pill that can create talent like that. If anything, I've seen talent destroyed by AAS because players got too big, less flexible, and/or lost their lean type II muscle fiber build (which means they trained completely wrong but still...).

What I was more saying is that AAS can create more of an opportunity if you have the talent. And this kind of goes with exactly what your saying about modern day G.I. Joe. People don't want the average joe in the spotlight. Straight Up. They want a 6'5" Lefty from Texas that brings the heat, has a perfect body, and sells uniforms that girls can buy. It's about $$$ when your getting paid to play a game. If you don't sell the jersey, then they simply cannot afford to have you on the team. AAS creates the opportunity for you to fit that ridiculous photoshopped image we see every day.

But I am still wondering. How did day one of your cycle (if you did one) start? It wasn't like you woke up and everything was prepped in the bathroom you know?

haha actually it was! lol if you mean how i started doing AAS its a lot of research, years of training, learned so muc habout dieting and training i finally decided to try.

but as far as day one i actually had everything on hand, all the needles layed out, a schedule lined up, PCT alreayd onhand etc.

That's kind of funny. It seems we got two different views but I definitely like having a discussion that actually has some meaning behind it. I have been researching how to manipulate your diet to create an anabolic environment naturally. Any insights with that?

One of the best ways I think is to eat every few hours. Different studies show different things and some debunk the anabolic capacity of eating all the time but personally I feel as if I gain more when I eat consistently rather than a few big meals.

If its muscle gain you want then there's always the old rule of at least 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight. This must be coupled with carbs though. So many people are afraid of carbs even hen bulking that they don't get enough and then the body is forced to use proteins for glycogen rathe than carbs. Bit I guess that all boils down to just making sure you eat enough and getting your macros right

So "The Doctor" is supplying the Dominican players with AAS? Then, they are going to these baseball academies to get to the majors?

you do what you think you have to do to get to the top and then stay there.only you can decide if its worth it.

Agreed aas will not make you more talented it will just help you train harder and recover faster.
