Maximizing first cycle gains

Hello Anabolic Minds. I have been doing a lot of research here for a while, but this is my actual first post. My question addresses how to make the most of my first cycle (I have never taken anything hormonal in the past). Here are my stats:

Age: 24
Time training: 3 years
Starting physique: 5'10" - 170 lbs at 12% bf
Physique now : 5'10" - 200 lbs at 10% bf

So now that we have that stuff out of the way here is my real question(s): I have been considering a 10 week test cycle and through my research I have seen two main theories about first cycles. 1) Make the most of your first cycle by taking a strong bulking agent along with test (and yes I realize that test is arguably a strong bulking agent as well). 2) Keep it just to test because that is all you need.

So, I tend to agree with theory 2, but I wanted to see if anyone else had any input. For example, if hypothetically I ran just test for a first cycle compared to test + a superdrol or dbol kickstart + npp or deca, would the later cycle yield more gains? I am under the impression that it would not because there is only so much real tissue and protein that can be synthesized in 10 weeks. I think the only thing it might do is stress my heart and other organs more and make recovery much harder. Granted, with that silly cycle, I would look bigger on cycle, but would that actually months after pct yield more size?

So another hypothetical cycle (this time less silly): 10 weeks test + 4-6 weeks rpn havoc. Would this yield better gains compared to the all test cycle or would it just be increased glycogen and strength that at the end of the day will not equate to more keep-able muscle?

And lastly, if I do a test cycle, I plan on running prop (I know more painful). So if I were to add something like havoc (or anything else ya'll might suggest), where would I put it? The beginning (although I don't think its smart to run two compounds together that I have never run)? The middle? The end?

Thanks for reading. Also, I know this does not address PCT or ancillaries (like HCG, Arimidex, liver or lipid supps) at all. This is not because I do not think it's important, but because that is not what I'm trying to get out of this thread.

For first hormonal cycle of any kind, I'd recommend looking into maybe a six weeker of halodrol.

If you're set on pinning, go with either test only (probably add in an AI, I know you mentioned the ancillary planning will come after you decide on the actual cycle), or the havoc/test mentioned above, as havoc is an easier compound to get started with than superdrol.

You could either use havoc the first six weeks, so as a kickstart. Or the last six weeks, maybe help harden up some of the possible bloat that can come with a test cycle.

Ok thanks for the reply. Do you think prop + superdol is a little redundant since prop is a kickstart itself? Couldn't I just increase the dosage of the prop once I plateau (and have a healthier cycle) and make the same gains?

Also, I forgot to ask in my original post. Do you think adding IGF 1 would be beneficial? Is it worth the money?

And back to the superdrol, I haven't seen many people talk about bad sides with it when running test underneath. Of course the test would make the superdrol feel better than when it is run solo, but in theory shouldn't it help manage the poor lipid profile associated with superdrol by providing some estrogen?

Probably not redundant, but a kickstart wouldn't really be needed on a test prop cycle say as opposed to if you were injecting cyp. The prop. I believe I've read that you should start to feel the effects of that within the first week or so.

You will make great gains either way. Remember, this being your first cycle, you'll respond extremely well as long as your eating and training is on point. You don't need to overthink things. Increasing the test dosage may be "healthier" than adding orals to your cycle though, depending on where you plan to start/work up to.

I guess in theory this could be true, I dont think it would help with the lipid profile a whole lot, but possibly some of the other sides associated with sd.

Keep in mind, at least when I see people running sd under test, they've already done several ph/ds cycles before, so they have a better idea of what to expect. I still would not strongly recommend sd being your first oral.

I'm not trying to ignore the other part, I just really don't know enough to make suggestions.

would dimethylazine be a better addition to the test than havoc? Does it deliver more mass? And are the side effects as low as Havoc's sides?

Better addition, ehh. If you're looking for more mass, then yes. If looking to cut, then no. Side effects should be slightly more than havoc, but are known to be a lot less than superdrol.

Still not something I would recommend running as a first ph/ds, but a better choice IMO than sd.

Ok that is generally what I thought. Just wanted to confirm though. I think I will just stick the havoc and dictate mass with my diet.

Great call! It seems like thats something most people don't realize with ph/ds! Yes, some of them are better geared towards doing different things, but for the most part your diet and training dictates results!
