2012 College Football season

Only bama player that could pass was mclemore. Of course he ran his mouth as 4 th string qb in the pros about locker room s***. Everybody what happens in there stays in there.

Ill just ask. do you think trent Richardson was able to pass classes at Alabama?

I'll just counter: Have you passed a grammar course... or really thought about the ridiculous argument you're trying to make pertaining to Texas athletes vs. SEC athletes?

I don't know who "mclemore" is... nor can I comprehend the rest of what you typed.

Good grief.

Texas will hire petrino next year if their smart. They have the money and after another year of that d*** azz Mack brown they will do anything to be relevant again.

still wont answer my question...interesting

Your question is borderline retarded. Do I think he was able to pass classes at Alabama? Uhhh... yeah, I do. Seeing how he was eligible to play football and all. Now, if your own intellect is limiting you from being able to inquire as to whether he was given passing grades without actually doing the work...

No... because that would never happen in collegiate athletics. Nor would it ever happen at the University of Texas. Vince Young's 6 on his first Wonderlic was 50% higher than Morris Claiborne's 4.

Dude, seriously... just stop.

Haters gonna hate, brotha. I'm a solid NU fan, but I don't think the winners are automatically cheaters.

Go Big Red, and Roll Tide!

Haha, if Trent "mumbles" Richardson can actually pass classes at Bama, then thank god yall have a good football program because your academics are horrifying. I live in reality, i know there is no way in hell vince young was passing classes or atleast real classes. He was in posh classes set up for him where getting an A probably required signing an attendance sheet. I have no problem admitting that vince is not a scholar or anything close to it. But at Texas, Vince was the exception, and at Bama Richardson is the norm. No big deal i was just pointing out that there are alot of illiterate gangbangers that play football in the sec

Really? Are we talking football or science here? Until 'Bama is proven to have done something wrong, they're the got damn champs.

If the NCAA is happy, wtf are you guys bitching about?

But at Texas, Vince was the exception, and at Bama Richardson is the norm.

Did you not see the link above? Your beloved football program has an abysmal graduation rate. Worse than every SEC football program... and that's with them passing through scholars like Young. I could understand your point if you were a Stanford or Duke fan, but Texas? Texas???!! Get. The. Phuck. Out. :toofunny:

O'rly? Less than 20 seconds on Google, and I see this:

Look, there's nothing I like more than a good semantic debate on a Saturday night. Unfortunately, arguing with you is like beating up a physically disabled 8 year-old girl. Even when I win... I lose.

Good night, and good luck.

I'd look into the recruiting of Courtney Gardener. 4 star wide receiver committed to Arkansas who was rejected because his grades were too poor. Guess who accepted the little einstein with open arms? That would be the academic powerhouses of the Big 12... Oklahoma. So in other words your league accepts borderline handicapped people as long a they can play. Research before you speak or this thread will be quite difficult for you.

(on iPhone so excuse typos)

Look anybody that has been to college have seen the classes these guys take they are a joke . I had friends that were c average at best in high school but when they played ball at college they were banging down a's. Had other friends that played sec ball and they didn't go to class but all notes for classes were mailed to their apartments. So yes Trent Richardson did pass class. Universities can't control if they are to dumb to qualify for college. They try a lot of guys get classified as having a.d.d. so they get to take the act or sat with only a proctor and no time limit.

All joking aside... you can say what you will about TR's intellect. Dude's a class act.

Rubbering you are correct. Class act by trent. Dude is a good guy and the strongest rb on field and weight room I have ever seen. And now yall have this barrel chested lacey.

Actually, you bring up a major concern for Tide fans. Lacy has/had the potential to be a beast, but there's a chance he may not be able to go at all this season. Chronic turf toe kept his carries down at the end of last season, and he finally had surgery a few weeks back. Going the surgery route is a last resort protocol, and it greatly decreases the odds of a full recovery. He's out all spring and will be evaluated in the summer.

That being said, keep an eye out for freshman T.J. Yeldon. That kid is special.

Just when I was gonna get all excited about an AL injury update, you throw the word "special" out there for a frosh rb... Thanks!

I am actually super excited about A&M entering the SEC this year! I know Bama and LSU are going to kill us but I still say we make a bowl game. :-)

I know a lot of folks in the southeast are opposed to change, but A&M just fits in the SEC. Gene Stallings has been pushing it for years. Along with Arkansas, it's basically the cream of the old Southwest Conference. On the other hand, Missouri just isn't doing it for me. I would've much rather seen Clemson as the 14th member... although I doubt they want anything to do with an SEC schedule right now.

Yeah when we started playing Arkansas a few years ago I started thinking man I wonder if we will ever be going to the SEC? Then news of the whole Long-Whorn network deal came out and I knew the move was coming very soon. I am not sold on Kevin Sumlin as a big time SEC coach but his ties to RC Slocum were strong enough to get him the job. I was hoping to get Kirby Smart from Bama and get back to a solid "Wrecking Crew" defense.

That's right b*tches.....I'm back.

GO GATORS.....GO SEC!

SEC football players dont know how to read or write. Hearing the LSU's players like honeybadger or Alabama's trent richardson trying to speak english is hilarious, Either sec schools are so dumb that guys like them can actually pass classes or there cheatn haha. pick your poison. When aTm left the big 12 for the SEC we all laughed saying both conferences are getting there IQ's raised

Actually...reading your post is painful. Have you ever heard of a contraction; proper punctuation; proper nouns; or proper sentence structure to begin with? I know based on your failed attempt at actual proper English that you don't.

Did you even go to college?

Mock the SEC all you want, but you sound like a moron. It's going to be a long year for you, so get ready now...

Yeah rubbering I wanted Clemson or Florida state. Missouri does nothing for me but they wanted that tv market (st.Louis). How much do you think tulane and Georgia tech hate they left the the sec in the beginning. Biggest mistake in college sports history. Do you know what kind of recruits tulane could get if they were still in the sec and in new Orleans !

I don't share your optimistic appraisal of the situation.

haha i love how a Texas fan can so easily get under the skin of any SEC fan. it's and inferiority thing, because no matter how many games another school wins or how good of a program they have it's Texas always getting the best recruits, getting the most viewers, and making the most money every year even with our horrible last 2 seasons (i know rubbering will be doublechecking all that haha). If your not a Texas Longhorn then your gonna hate us, and it makes sense. i love how rubbering actually wasted time out of his day to do research on it haha....excellent, I guess if its that important to you (to each his own).

Get under my skin? Umm, try again there cowboy. I do however find great amusement in your abysmal attempt of the English language.

Let R. Lee Ermey sum it up for you:

thanks for posting a video clip. Lets me know you really care :07:

Tomgreen you are correct Texas does get the best recruits and profit is like 20-30 mill more than the next school(can't remember exact #'s). But Mack brown is an idiot. I will say it one more time petrino 2013 head football coach of Texas.

Petrino would fit in well with big 12. I wish arkansas would come back to the big 12 and restart the SWC. Petrino's and arkansas football style is more compatible with big 12 i think anyway. They have a passing game and can sometimes even go no huddle lol. Texas just signed Mack on a new contract, i really doubt hell be going anywhere in a while. Iv always wanted them to get Bosie States head coach. What that guy can do with such low talent is amazing, if he had 4 and 5 star recruits he could be unstoppble.

Please... we aren't coming back. We are in the most dominant (and most respected) conference. The sooner Texas realizes it is responsible for the recent implosion of the Big12, the better off the conference will be.

Plus, speaking of landing all that 5 star Texas talent, *****s just recently put out an article that shows how Texas players are consistently overrated. Combine that with a moron of a head coach, and well, you get the current state of UT football.

We can still beat Mizzou and A&M every year and get all the Big12 we need.

Edit: The filtered word is r.i.v.a.l.s (not sure why)

Yes, the SEC owning college football with SIX national championships in a row, and Alabama winning 2 out of the last 3 BCSCGs... including illiterate 19 year-old Trent Richardson breaking the ankles of Longhorn defenders in Pasadena as a true freshman... definitely creates an inferiority complex. :pat:

Best recruits, huh? Really? So, how many 1st rounders from Texas will I see drafted in a few weeks? Little ol' Bama will probably have five... and that's after having four 1st rounders last season. Texas had... wait for it...

Zero.

In fact, Texas has had only two 1st round picks in the last three years. It's also worth mentioning that in the 2011 draft, the top 7 picks came from the SEC, Texas A&M, and Missouri. The first current Big 12 school, Baylor, checked in at #21.

So, please... explain again how Texas has the best recruits.

Yeah... there's a reason all the trees in Oklahoma lean to the south: Texas sucks.

Btw, I don't call a 7-second Google search "research,"... but the fact that you do speaks volumes. But hey, you keep tossin' 'em up... and I'll keep knockin' 'em down. The reality is that Texas, even with the infinite funding and resources, is ultimately irrelevant outside of their own state because they can't win even with the country's softest schedules.
Oh, and also... :tool: .

haha you guys are funny. The stereotype you guys have across the entire country is why you feel so inferior. Rubbering i cant beleive your getting so upset and angry to give me negative reputation points...WOW. That reputation reflects knowledge of training, bodybuilding, supplementation, and anabolics, so i would really appreciate you respecting that and not letting your envy overwhelm you. Ill give you some real good advice that maybe your dad didnt tell you...Football is just a game and it is not that important. I know that the highlight of your life is watching Alabama win football games, but i on the other hand have alot of other things going on in my life, thats why as i am laughing you are getting so angry lol. I can understand though, if i lived in Alabama, id probably be pretty bitter also. So im sorry if iv upset you, and i am very sorry that football is that important in your life to cause you to get that angry.

TxAggie explain the guy cheerleaders and the midnight rally thing?

We were an all male school back in the 'Old Army' days so we didn't have cheerleaders. They just kept it a tradition and they are just called yell leaders. Not much to explain but we have yells that they do during the game and it is pretty impressive when all 70,000+ fans yell at the same time. An example, and my favorite, is say cry baby bob stoops runs on the field crying to an official about a call; the yell leaders will take their hands and make a cars steering wheel driving motion then everyone yells at once "SIT DOWN BUS DRIVER!!" (Coaches use to drive the teams school buses in the old days)

Midnight yell is pretty cool. You go to the stadium (if a home game) at midnight with a date and after you go through all the inspirational stuff (like a pep rally) they turn the lights off and you kiss your date. If you don't have a date then you light a lighter and find a date to make out with.

((Sigh)) I don't live in Alabama. Yet another indicator of your inability to comprehend.

So im sorry if iv upset you, and i am very sorry that football is that important in your life to cause you to get that angry.

And yet it's you who's writing in bold print and editing his comments because they're "too personal."

How do mistake getting clowned on for anger?? Wait... never mind. It's the comprehension thing. Let me explain it like this: I enjoy exposing trolls like you... and it entertains the other half a dozen or so members of this thread, and the previous 3 years' worth of threads. If you think this is "heated," you need to go back and peruse through them, newb.

Or if you have nothing to contribute... and you clearly don't... you could always just not post.

That reputation reflects knowledge of training, bodybuilding, supplementation, and anabolics, so i would really appreciate you respecting that...

Reputation also reflects douchebaggery. Hell, I waited a few days just to see if you could string together two coherent thoughts. No dice. You're only the 3rd person I've negged in 5 years visiting this site, but it was well-deserved.

Man, I try not to buy into the whole generalization thing, but I swear... Texans.

How is someone posting IN A COLLEGE FOOTBALL THREAD about how they don't care much about college football?

If you don't care, GTFO. Or make a legitimate point as it relates to college football...whatever's clever.
