It's not that government officials, democrats and other wealthy liberals want to really see America crumble but I do think it's because they want to do the only thing they can to ensure their power and wealth stick in the long run...which is socialism. Think about it, the public and states hand over power to central government further ensuring that the federal government "modulates" all of the income (via taxes and court systems) and redistributes wealth. While some of that wealth is redistributed, there are two very important things that a naive individual miss.
1) Restribution of wealth creates an entitlement society. No one earns a dang thing anymore. They just feed off of the ones actually doing something. This is already a reality in our country today. Obama has only exponentially increased the pace via class warfare. He's tearing society apart in the process. Everyone will eventually become polarized in their views.
2) The government has about a 10% efficiency with financial utilization. That means that 10% of the total money that goes into the government comes back out of the government and into state programs or other tangible, measureable investments that the people could use. The other 90% goes to various (and unnecessary) programs, IRA's and into the pockets of lots of government officials, lobbyists and maybe even some larger public companies out there..just depends on who needs what to make the political, social and economic agenda work in favor of one thing - sustainability of power. Government uses our money to sustain it's own power, not to serve us. Granted, a few add-ins to the amendments (and a few take-aways as well) and we could be back on track to a government that truly demands servitude and honesty from its members in Congress.
Obama and his office is willing to take capitalist sacrifices to an all new level to ensure that the government keeps its power and is on track for more power. I've come to realize that Karl Marx realization of communism is inevitable. He didn't need to "infiltrate" America to make us turn to his philosophy. He states that capitalism comes first, then socialism, then communism. Each is a progression of the former. With that said, the real reason we will eventually be a full-blown communist state is not because of Karl Marx or President Obama. I've come to realize the truth: that men by nature are selfish. Give a man or several men power for long enough and they will exploit it, grow it and protect it. That's basically what communism is.
