The importance of a multivitamin..

I haven't used a multivitamin in a while. I have money to buy one, but i also have PERFORMAXX from ON. Would that work until i can buy Orange Triad from Controlled labs? Or should i just continue without one? I haven't really had much problems but imo, i think it would be a good essential to have. I have Orange Oximega.

Also, any deals on multivamins. And what is the best one that you have tried/taken. Ive been doing some research and thought of either San Dr Feel Good, Orange Triad, NOW Adam...

Thanks!

If you haven't had any problems then why spend money on one just because you can now afford it? How do you think it will be better for you than not taking one? If you haven't had any issues when not taking a multi then you are probably getting all of your necessary vits from solid food, which is always going to be better than popping pills.

There is a discussion with Dr Dana Houser at Invalid Link Removed, which has some vit info and you will probably be better off getting a good dose of specific vits (C, D, etc.) than a little bit of everything in a multi.

True. I was just thinking that regardless if i piss it out, maybe i am lacking just the little things that can just help my health overall....?

but maybe not..

I know what you mean as I am exactly the same and think that a multi can't do any harm, it's cheap, etc., etc. but in that thread I mentioned the Dr states:

"All MULTI-VITAMINS SUCK! People on this forum may not be familiar with my mantra in that domain...but that is sheer nutrient interaction in a bottle allowing the MVI to serve little purpose what-so-ever. Plus - water soluble elements (B complex, Vitamin C) should be dosed intermittently around the clock. A MVI is a lazy man's version of doing things "right." (please note quotes and sarcasm)"

And I'm inclined to agree with this. I've also heard other Drs say that a multi is just a lazy person's vit and if people don't get enough vits from fruit/veg then they should buy specific vits i.e C, D, etc.

I've got about a month or so left of my current multi and after that I'm not planning to replace it for a few months and I'll see how it goes.

I like to use an multivitamin but there seems to be a debate on whether its useful or not. For example Dr. D says its completely useless because of the poor absorption to the body. I think if you have a good diet (and by this I mean you eat a wide range of foods, fruits, salads etc.) your fine without a multivitamin.

I found when I used orange triad that when i went for a whizz it was a strange colour and had a weird smell to it. To be honest I think my body was just getting rid of everything it was taking in. Anyone else experience this

All I know is every year from oct-march I get sick about a 1000x's. So I picked up that orange triad multi and I havnt gotten sick once. Now I dont know if it has anything to do with the multi but I might just stick with it if it keeps me healthy. Also I gotta say my diet isnt the best and I drink a lot so maybe the multi is filling in the gaps for me?
