Bcaa are great!..... If your bulking and low on flo just sip on whey and maize. Just my 2 cents!

Could like you illustrate exactly how they help. I mean if your eat lost of protein what's the benefits?

Dr. D on this forums suggest you get around 25% of your aminos from Luecine. Now a high protein diet will balance this out as all un used protein will just be converted to glucose via gluconeogenesis and Luecine is one of the few that is not converted here. So either get around 25% luecine, or make sure your protein intake is high enough to assure you get about .25g/LB of luecine in your foods.

I use um. Just buy straight luecine and add um to drinks/flavoring packets.

Is 1.75 per lb good enough to go with out supplementing?

I like bcaa because I train fasted in the early am. Been training on empty for so long that when I try to eat anything it usually bogs me down. So, really the only time I supplement with aminos is when I train long sessions in a fasted state. Are they essential for someone who trains mid day with high amino pools from eating plenty throughout the day- IMO No .

Others would disagree..... All I know is what has worked for me, strictly bro science no credentials except progress photos......

I like to take BCAA PWO no matter what the goal, but if I am cutting I now take 25-30 grams of leucine throughout the day inbetween eating. If I was eating large amounts of calories/protein? I'd not bother with the expense and PITA of taking all that leucine during the day on off days. But I think 25-35mg of BCAA is always good somewhere in the hours PWO bulking or cutting. Some of the new fangled people and their "science" say don't take them all PWO, I say its good. By all means, if you can't afford it, take a pass on the BCAA's unless you get some and take it PWO only...which would not be as costly since its about 4 or so times per week....and should be of benefit even on a bulker.

Thanks I have a lil bit left so ill just use that post n that should last me a good while.

How bout glutamine though any.thoughts?

Post for the BCAA.....i do the other aminos Pre, such as arginine, taurine, LCLT etc etc.....usually throw some glutamine in with the BCAA as well. Like you said, I train after waking up on empty stomach....so the aminos pre and post seem to work well for me.

As of right now I prefer 10 grams of bcaa and 2 grams of beta alanine pre workout and a solid meal post workout.

supposedly a cofactor to building muscle as well so it might be good to add Post workout when you need aminos ASAP.

thats what I figured, and the reason I throw it in there. glutamine peptides are supposed to be superior, reason I used glutamine peptides for a while....but its hard to find glutamine peptide powders and if you do they are more expensive of course.

for some reason I want nothing to do with whole foods PWO....so I've always used whey or BCAA etc PWO. I get hungry maybe 3-5 hours PWO for real food. So I just roll with what my body tells me :D

Word, I'm the opposite I'm starved as soon as I'm done training. I think it's because my last meal is around 530 pm, so I get in from the gym around 530 am. 12 hours is a fairly long time with no food for me.

even if I did not eat a few hours before bed, and then slept for 8-10 hours....I get that not wanting to eat, stomach kind of uneasy feeling when I wake up and it takes several hours for it to get into gear. I've always been like that, never been a breakfast person.....50 grams of whey has been my breakfast for decades LOL....

Eaa I found highly superior on a bulk and this was through trial and error with both. I use no synthesize and bulk. Bcaa helps me more with muscle retention so I use xtend when cutting
