Energy Drinks

What is everyone's opinion on drinking energy drinks? I don't drink them for energy. I love the taste of the monsters. Soda is something I never drink but every once in awhile have Monsters.
 
Seeing that you don't drink them for energy, I'm confused on what opinion you're trying to garner. Are you asking what we think of the energy they give, or what we think of the taste? If the second one is all you really care about and you like the taste, go for it. Do you go with the 10-cal ones (sometimes 0) or the sugary-treat types?
 
I guess I meant health wise... What everyone thinks of them healthwise.. My fave is the zero cal ones

Must be a pricey habit too! Energy drinks don't cost as much as when they hit a real high point a few years ago, but they still tend to be a bit pricey.

I view them the same as other diet soda's. Their fine, but for the health freaks probably warrant avoidance due to the artificial sweetners and what not.
 
I typically will have 6-10 12oz Sugarfree Red Bulls/week.. I guess after so long varnish becomes a taste I like! :32:

I will go a few weeks without one and I see know difference in my health or gains drinking them or not drinking them..The caffeine does nothing for me anymore. I will say though, for every can I consume I make sure I drink at least 750ml of water within an hour - hour half after it. I seem like it helps me feel as though its helping flush the toxins out of me faster..

Theres actually a non carbonated monster that has like all natural ingredients.. Its not bad tasting either. Its a good preworkout but yur better off going with something like jack3d as far as the price goes
 
They are marketed towards the younger generation and it seems the marketing really works. I'll take a $2 coffee over a flashy $4 energy drink any day of the week.

On the topic, Monster released a version that has 16 grams of protein..which really isnt much obviously..but thats about close to wat the rtd Muscle milks contain...

also saw rockstar selling one that claims to have BCAA's..

im hooked on the taste as much as i am the caffeine

monster tasts ok. but i don drink any of that stuff anymore.

coffee or a caffein pill or pre-WO for my caff :-)

all the other crap liek taurine or glucorolacton i take nyway. I dotn need ot pay 3-6$ ill have my 10 cent coffe of imported home ground jamacan coffee :-P at home.
or 1-2$ on the run
