Anyone use LifeExtensions compounded test?

I'm looking for someone who has used the Life Extensions (located in Florida) compounded testosterone. Did you have any issues with it drying into a flaky, powdery substance? I rubbed it on and within hours it looked like I had powder on there. I tried it several other areas as well. Mine is 200 mg...maybe its just concentrated too high. They said they are sending another batch but I am a little worried.
Also, did you ever get DHT checked after being on it? I'm curious if compounded really raises it less than other topicals.

Thanks

Never absorbed LE compounded test very well - creams or gels - 100mg or 200 mg - I tried just about all their combos. Blood tests were very disappointing to say the least. In fact I never had much luck with ANY compounded product. Finally we went to AndroGel which worked great. Fast absorbtion - consistently good blood tests. Yeah I know people talk about the costs of compounded vs AndroGel, but my insurance covered AndroGel so cost was never an issue. Honestly, if I had to pay out of pocket for AG I probably would have because it was the only topical that always worked perfectly. In the long run my DHT got too high and I switched to injections, but I understand AndroGel is coming out with "double strength" soon which means you won't have to spread over as much skin = less DHT = perfect!

I just may switch back when AndroGel 2x comes out. Right now I'm happy with the injection route...very consistent. I do know I'd never waste time farting around with those compounded preps again. But keep in mind everybody absorbs compounds differently.

And yes, if you are doing any type of topical it is always a good idea to check your DHT, especially if you try AndroGel which got my DHT up to around 3-4x normal range. Great libido but lots of hair in shower drain! Hair loss was the reason I eventually switched to injections.

I use compounded testosterone (not from Life Extensions) and it sometimes looks like a powder after I apply it. I'm on 200mg/ml twice a day and have had fantastic results. My TT, free T, and bio-available T numbers are now at the upper range of the normal range and I'm feeling great! No problem with DHT. The only issue I've experienced is e2 was a little high. Taking Arimidex to combat e2. So far so good...

I apply to inner arms. Prior to application, ensure area is shaved, clean, and dry. I rub it on until it disappears and then stand in front of a fan to ensure it's completely dry. Not sure if all of this is necessary, but it works for me.

With this stuff, the more I rub, the more flaky it gets until it is literally falling off. The company told me to add some moisturizing cream to it. I tried that too...a little better but similar results. They said it will not affect performance but I'm still not sold as to how it can flake off that fast and not lose any test in the process.

Interesting. Mine is powdery sometimes, but not flaky. There are plenty of compounding pharmacies so you may want to try another.

I got it now. This test gel comes in a deoderant style container. Each turn of the knob clicks out a dime size portion of test gel. I was using the container to rub the gel on instead of touching the gel with my hand. Even with lotion, the friction of the plastic applicator made it flake. The trick is to place the lump of gel on my skin without rubbing it in. Then, put a slightly larger amount of lotion on my fingers and rub it on top of the lump of gel, causing the 2 compounds to mix. Rub slow and the gel applies very nicely.

It may not be a good idea to use a petroleum based lotion. I'm thinking it might create a barrier for some of the test gel.

You for real used 400 mg total per day or 200mg divided by 2 seperate applications?

Yep. I apply 1 ml in the morning and 1 ml in the afternoon. I was originally on Androgel at 7.5 g per day (6 pumps). It got me to low end of normal range, but it didn't make me feel any better. Switched to compounded testosterone (200mg/ml) 1 ml once a day...also tried 1/2 ml twice a day. It was better, but felt drained by late afternoon/evening. Doc upped dose to 1 ml twice a day. Felt great. Was tested a month later and all levels were in high end of normal range. It sounds like a lot, but it's what works for me. Doesn't elevate my T levels beyond normal range.

My compounded testosterone comes in a cream. It comes in a needleless syringe. I put 1 ml directly on inner arm and rub in with other inner arm. I wasn't aware that compounded testosterone comes in other forms like yours. I'm relatively new to TRT so I have much to learn.

I just discovered that LifeExtensions also has a cream. Dont know why they even offer the other since it is so difficult. They are sending me the cream and I am to send the gel back to them.

Forget my advice above on adding lotion to the compounded gel... I found the best way to apply the gel.

Place the compounded gel on a plastic sandwich bag. Then squirt a little unscented hand sanitizer on top of that. Place your hand in the bag and mix the two so u dont get it on your fingers. Then I apply it to my inner biceps. It doesnt take much and it goes in magically.
