i hate spring, all the freakin pollen and grass is annoying. i've had allergies since i was in middle school and over the years it just got worst with different symptoms. Today, i woke up feelin like crap. my nose was running, my eyes itched and were puffed up red, and got that annoying feeling in your nose when you inhale and it feels like ice. i skipped the gym yesterday and might today due to this crap. anyone else have allergies and what do you take for them?

Sorry about your allergies guy. I had them when I was a teenager, but luckily i've grown out of them. I've heard of people who did not have them when they were young but developed them as they got older. Stay away from Allerest as it and most other allergy medications which contain antihistamines, although they will relieve your symptoms, they will make you drowsy and generally cruddy feeling. Here's to hoping you someday outgrow yours.

The only thing I really use is Afrin No Drip. It unclogs all that crap that is in there and makes me feel a whole lot better. I use it off and on, more days off than on, because it can actually make things worse if you use it continually. The bottle warns of not doing over 3 days in a row. I only recently started using it at the recommendation of a co-worker and it is freaking amazing as far as I'm concerned.

hmmmm i have been reading a lot on medications and i have a bottle of loratadine in 10mg and its not doing much. i wanna jump to 20mg but people are saying it increases drowziness and im tryin to be energetic at the gym. idk what else to take that wont make me drowzy

NOTE: DO NOT TAKE AT 20MG BEFORE GYM. i fell asleep today on the bench for like 10min

Netti Pot

I have no idea how I ever survived a cold or allergy season without it

^ a lot of people swear by those things. Its kinda funny watching the water flow out of your nostril.

I had never heard of it before my wife bought it for me and it took a couple uses to get used to it, but now I knock it out while in the shower if I have a cold or if allergies are bothering me. If it's a cold I usually do it at least once before going to sleep so I can rest better without being stuffy or pressure headaches n such. For allergies, usually in the AM unless I feel ok and the PM is when it's bothering me.
