Where to buy cellulose gel to make low carb shakes?

If you look on the bottles of the premade RTD low carb shakes you will see they all contain cellulose gel. I had looked it up and from what I read its the main ingredient that makes the low carb shakes they make taste thick and creamy which I cant replicate at home using whey protein and water.

Does anyone know where I can purchase this for home use? So far all I found is suppliers wanting to sell me it in massive bulk quantities

I have no idea where to get cellulose gel but I've used Xanthan Gum for this purpose many times and it works well, is low carb and widely available.

Never heard of using that- how much would you used for like a 16oz shake? Does it kind of thicken the shake up a bit when you add it?

Lol I was looking it up a bit and read that xanthan gum is actually a laxative as well which worries me a bit...

It thickens the shake up very well and a little goes a long way. I have used it to thicken hot gravies and sauces and cold shakes while on a low carb diet and have never noticed any sort of laxative effect, you would have to use a lot of it to get that effect. I have also used guar gum to thicken shakes but it clumps more than xananthan does.
