Alright, I guess I'll review the compound because I saw a couple of logs that did this and it helped me out in deciding on the dosages and everything for planning my cycle.
I'm really glad that I went with the conventional wisdom of picking hdrol to run for a first cycle. I put on 9 pounds and we'll see how the pictures look, but I feel like I didn't add any fat. My strength was ridiculous...i didnt even have noob gains this good. I only had one exercise in the whole 6 weeks that I failed to hit what I wanted to hit on it. Everything else i increased by leaps and bounds.
Sides: I honestly had zero significant sides. I had zero sides whatsoever until the 5th week when I decided to give 100mg a go, and then i started getting mild leg cramps and back pumps. I dropped the dosage to 75 again and the leg cramps got better, but my back has just been a little sore pretty much constantly lol. its nothing that i can't take, and most of the time i don't really even notice it. my bp stayed right at 110/75 which is where it hovered at precycle.
Shutdown: I guess this is a side too...but i figured i'd give it it's own section. I really feel like the 100mg shut me down. once i dropped back down in dosage, it seemed to get better, i guess the suppression wasn't as intense. however, my nuts are still hangin out pretty far north, much farther than i'd like to see them. for my next cycle i'm definitely going to either consider injecting hcg or using hcghenerate..although it's kind of expensive. hopefully the nolva gets me going again. my libido took a dip also, but it was more of i didnt feel like initiating anything, but if my girl started, i was good to go. Also...kind of a sidenote. though i felt like i was shutdown somewhat, i still had morning wood every morning.
Strength: I know everybody says hdrol is super mild, and having finished the cycle, i can really attest to the fact that it is very mild on sides and negative effects. my strength was through the roof though. Maybe i just respond well to hdrol, or maybe there were some other factors thrown in, but i was expecting strength gains but not on the order that i saw. from the first to last workout of each i increased:
