How are we going to console rubbering when Bama loses their only game this year to the Gators and Boise loses to my Buckeyes in the NC game instead of the Tide?

Seriously, it's not just an SEC thing. Might look like it on here. I'm surrounded by Pac-10 enthusiasts, and I've talked to a few Texas fans from my gym. The feeling is pretty consistent with all of them: It's not hate for Boise State. They haven't done anything wrong. They just win, like they're supposed to. It's just the way that ESPN goes about promoting the "Cinderella" storyline, etc. Maybe this is the media's way of trying to push the BCS gods into implementing a playoff. Either way, it just gets sickening to listen to for 5 months.

Paul Finebaum asked Gene Stallings (Texas A&M trustee, former A&M/Bama coach) today how many games he thought Boise State would win if they played an 8-game SEC schedule and had to travel to play teams like Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Florida, Georgia, etc. His answer: "Maybe three." I think that's a little harsh, but I'd guess 5 or 6 at best.

Bottom line: It's the current BCS system that pisses me off. Ironically, the media is using Boise State as the poster child against the BCS... which I should enjoy, from a logical standpoint.

I'm not enjoying it.

You're missing my point (like always). Yes, i concur that Penn State CAN win this game. We have great recievers, great o-line, great backs and a never questionable defense. However, I wish this game was played one year earlier or one year later. Robert Bolden impressed the hell out of me last week. BUT, to face #1 on the road as a barely 18 y/o true freshman is a tough pill to swallow. Yes, I have doubts. Yes, Im a fan and I have it in in my head that we'll pull it off. Personally, I wish Bama's 2 best players were playing, because if we DO win, it'll be even more gratifying and one less excuse for you and Tide country.

This game and the OSU game are without a doubt the 2 toughest Penn State has, road games too boot. This bama/PSU matchup is one of tradition and great coaches. Can Joepa outwit SATAN???? I am Jack's complete lack of surprise. They are either the most glass-half-full fan base in collegiate history... or the most delusional and sad. According to all the Auburn fans on the interwebz, last night's game wasn't an "escape" or a "gift"... it was a "solid win" and a "defensive masterpiece."
