Springfield XD or Glock?

I was thinking of getting a Springfield XD in a 45 caliber, or a glock in a 45 caliber. I have heard XDs have a better feel to them. What do you guys recommend?

Neither. I would definitely rather go with the Smith & Wesson M&P45 .45ACP

I've had the chance to shoot the M&P45, but only handle the XD and Glock. IMO the M&P is by far the better handgun. Looks, feel, and everything. I have posted a link below to it for you...

Also, the XD has that stupid safety on the back of the magazine well.

Here is a review that compares the 3 as well...

The M&Ps look pricey. I was looking to spend around $500. This will be my first handgun. How much would a used M&P go for?

Oh, I really don't know what a good used price would be. Do you know anyone who is active duty or retired? Cuz we can make 1 purchase a year at 40% off. If you do I can email the form for it. It is a saweeeet gun though. I really wish we would go away from the 9mm Beretta in the Navy/Marince Corps and go with the M&P45.

Hey where a bouts in MD you at?

Baltimore County, Essex area. My cousin is in the Navy, but I couldn't ask him next time I see him, because that'll be at my uncle's funeral. So, I wouldn't want to just out of the blue ask him while he's morning.

DC here, the Mrs. goes to school in Dundalk.

Sorry to hear about the death. My wife is flying back to Taiwan for her grandfather's funeral tomorrow.

Maybe hold out a bit longer and hit him up then. PM me you email and I'll forward the form just in case if you want.

Yes I agree with the s&w, I am a deputy sherrif and the department carries sigs which are nice but to heavy and pricey. I am getting a s&w 40 cal compact with a sid mounted laser beam and what won me over was the feel and grip of the handle plus its a pretty gun. The model is a sw120075, it retails for 719$

True as an arrow brother

Do you like any of the 1911s. Because you can get a 1911 for around 450-500. I will get the link if you need it.

I like 1911s a lot, but I wanted a pistol, that I could quick draw and conceal. The 1911's you need to pull the hammer back before firing and they're alittle bulky.
