Hey guys,
I will be doing my first bodybuilding show next year and right now im experimenting with my dieting methods. I follow a carb cycling diet, but Iam debating on how to count my calories. Im torn between counting every little thing the carbs and fat and protein in oatmeal to the fat in red meat, everything. Or just counting the protein in protein food, the fat in fat food, and the carbs in carb food.
For example
method 1 1 cup oatmeal-10protein 54carbs 6fat
method 2 1 cup oatmeal-54 carbs
the problem i have with method one is making changes in the diet becomes very tedious and its tough to keep you macro ratios in line, becuase almost everything has more than one nutrient in it, mor examples 1 tblespoon of pb is 4protein 4carbs 8 fat.
What do you guys do, Im just looking to hear what people have to say in regard to this. Thanks!
