Polar bear meat farm

Polar Bears, Black Bears, Alligators and housecats...

Can I throw Grasshoppers into the equation? They are astronomically more economical than cows, and they are, I believe, 95-100% protein.

I've wanted to try alligator for a long time, along with snake.

Both are good, though rattlesnake is a bit tougher than you would expect. There is much we don't eat here in TX, trust me.

There is a restaurant chain that is multi-country that specializes in insects.

Based on Food Network's Throwdown with Bobby Flay, all the best looking food seems to be from the south.

Off topic. Saw a Pulled Pork throwdown, and tried one for the first time, but started my cut two days ago. I couldn't believe how good bbq pulled pork was. I was just eating to eat way after I got full it was so good.

lol yea it rocks so does pulled bear actually haha

Pretty much anywhere in Canada. I also happen to live in one of the, if not the densest population areas for Mountain lion in Canada as well.

I'd love to try it. I'm a big fan of trying exotic meats, though buffalo was a bit disappointing. Perhaps it was more the cooks fault then the meat?

I've hunted and ate my fair share of black bear.

I'll reach right over it everytime and go for the venison. Start farming whitetail, blacktail and/or mullies and then you'll have my full attention

Why would you want to eat farmed venison? Have you ever eaten it? It basically tastes like farmed beef. Wild meat is where all the flavour is at. As for black bear...you must have never had it prepared or cooked right lol. A 2 year old blackie is tender and moist, made for a slow cooker or a spit. Also when it is in any form of sausage it is amazing. I have turned so many people onto wild meat just by cooking and preparing it the way it is meant to be (including other hunters who thought bear was disgusting beforehand). Bear ham, sliced thick and dredged in flour, then fried in apple bear bacon fat is the food of the Gods. :sasmokin: Of course if you like the blander style of venison only I would shoot Elk or Moose. :AR15firing:

No, I haven't tried farm raised venison. Only have tried what I've killed... Don't even know where the hell you'd find farm raised venison in MN. haha

And Please... I know how to cook bear meat. Maybe you don't know how to prep/cook venison?? (lol)

Blackbear isn't better than venison IMO. Altho BB summer sausage... That's noms.

Naw.. haha you misunderstand me I never said it was better..just that it is awesome in its own rights lol..and should not be passed over but enjoyed..especially high mountain berry bears or flat land grain grazers.
I am an ex-sous chef who studied under the tutelage of the head chef for the sailing of the bluenose... needless to say I love food and can cook it.
As for farm raised there are lots of farm raised deer(white, mule, red and many more) and elk etc. available throughout Canada, the US and the UK. The meat is used in 3 star restaurants across the world. You can order online or pick up at your local butcher. The problem with these animals is that they are fed un natural food for them and the close proximity of being raised to each other leads to outbreaks of disease to their wild brethren eg; CWD. The very same problem happens with penned hunts.

ps I have not found any farm raised true blacktail deer though that doesn't mean there isn't any haha. Much more fun to get them on the mountains.:AR15firing:

Heh, thanks for the clarification. :loser: But naw, I also like the bear meat! Otherwise I wouldn't hunt them! But, I just like venison better, fuggin love it really :684: Like I said, i would reach right over the bear meat for it! Maybe over even beef. I guess depending on how each is cooked...

But yeah, that is one aspect of farm raised deer I guess I never thought of. In MN you have 2 types of deer basically. Those that grow on corn from the farms(mid-south of the state) and those that are what I would call natural and live/eat in the woods(north). Not sure if it(corn) makes much of a difference as I can't recall ever eating a corn fed deer as I hunt strictly in northern MN as do most of the hunters I know.

Wanna start one? Well juice em up and feed them tons, and sell thier anabolic meat!
I know a meat broker who can get me tiger meat, so I think it could be possible to farm them.
Who wants to invest?

nunununununo

Rats fed plenty of ONIONS. RATANABOL

... psh. Polar Bears.

lol your welcome :006: I like venison way more than beef personally. Beef is too bland for me. There is a difference in the flavour for sure, shoot a fat corn fed whitey this year and see for yourself. Tastes like beef heh, so I am sure you would like it. :drive:
