Bronchitis

:raincloud:Damn this sucks! I found out on Monday that I have bronchitis. It is throwing a huge wrench into my nutrition (lack of appetite) and gains because I'm too damn sick and weak for the gym. I guess this week will be a rest and recovery week.

I actually pulled a chest muscle from coughing so hard.

Venting!

This sucks, man. Good luck with recovery. I had problems with my lungs after H1N1 flu for 3 month, so I know how you feel.

Yeah, blame it on the season. I got sinusitis back in December, which was annoying. Had to get antibiotics which knocked it out in a couple days.

Rest is really important, taking a week off isn't as bad as it seems.

True, man. I'm sure my body will appreciate this week and I'll be ready to attack the gym hungrier than ever.

Some stuff to get you through it:

Hot tea - really soothing for your throat and chest region. Hot soup too. I found that hot tea really helped when I would go into coughing fits when Had a cold 2 weeks ago.

Oranges - buy a few naval oranges, the vitamin C will help your body's immune system. Don't be afraid to eat the white stringy under-skin, supposedly it's really good for you.
Plenty of OJ and other fluids is extremely helpful.

Oh how I love drinking some nice warm tea. It hits the spot, brother.

As of today (thursday) I'm feeling pretty good. I was off from work all week, but just sent the boss a text and told him I would be in tomorrow. I'm going nuts...cabin fever!!! I need to get out. I'm the type of person who enjoys working and I tend to get a little nutso with too much time on my hands. Although it has felt good taking it easy and relaxing this week. I'm sure my body has appreciated it.

I think I will hit the gym on Sunday depending if I feel 100% or not.

Yeah, this year i decided to quit coffee and started drinking tea while at work. It's great not to have that crappy dehydrated feeling you get after drinking coffee. I'm a big fan of Chinese oolong, haven't quite gotten to the point where I can drink it without adding a little sugar though. Sucks that you can't buy it in stores, but it's cheap as hell when you buy in bulk on amazon.

your new super white teeth will thank you. along with going through the day without a hurricane in your stomach

I'm seriously considering going to the gym tomorrow. I haven't been there all week, but today I did go back to work and I do feel a lot better.

Bad idea?

I'm pretty cleared up and like I said, I feel great.

no if you are feeling good then it might actually help. get the blood flowing, nervous system is firing. ive read somewhere that if you hit the gym lightly at the onset of a cold/etc it could give you a little immune system boost
