Best Percentages for Bulking

I continue to get conflicting reports for what should be your daily percentages of protein/carbs/fats during the day. I have seen 30% protein 50% carbs and 20% fats as a common theme to bulking plans. I'm looking for the best way to put on weight but not bad weight, lean mass would be best...any recommendations on what would be best?

depends entirely on if you are carb sensitive and such.

if you are then you can limit carbs to pre and post workout, and just have fats and protein at other times.

if not you can have carbs any time really.
Or you can use supplements like Anabolic Pump, P-slin, or Glycobol to help utilize the carbs for building new muscle

You are getting conflicting reports because there is no best percentage. That is like asking what is the best car... It depends. Personally I like the 30/50/20 ballpark but others like 33/33/33. Pick somewhere in this range and then STICK TO IT. Adjust total calories to meet your goals. If you stick to a relatively balanced fixed macro percentage then a calorie is a calorie and then the problem just becomes mathematical.

Haha, percentages?? I have never gone with that. I am not carb sensitive or fat sensitive, so I pretty much eat as much carbs and fats as I can, oh and I never leave out the protein...

+1

Percentages are relative, and in my opinion meaningless.

If you are bulking. Start with eating enough calories to gain mass... And by mass I mean fat and muscle. Not to say that you should shoot to gain fat mass... But until you learn your body, that is a possibility when eating to gain.

It's best to keep a log and note your progress. Start with small increases in calories until you find a groove. Don't worry about the percentages.

Worry about getting the right amount of protein first. Then with whatever calories you have left over, alot them how you see fit. But they should be a good mix of at least complex carbs and EFAs. The addition of simple carbs and extra dietary fats is completely up to you... And must be experimented with to find what is optimum
