Anavar and Muscular Dystrophy

I don't think I'm violating any rules posting this, but please excuse my ignorance if so.

I was recently diagnosed with Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy. I plan to be proactive regarding combating degeneration. I'm scheduled to see a neuromuscular specialist in Houston next week, and my appointment with the MDA clinic doctor is in January. I inquired about anabolics with the neurologist who first diagnosed me; he said it would be off label and he would administer them if advised by a specialist, but he wouldn't order off label useage himself.

Long story short...if none of the doctors will prescribe any anabolics, my research has pointed me to Anavar/Oxandrolone. If am forced to seek the medication "elsewhere," what would I be looking at price wise per pill? I found cites of up to $1 per 10mg bill; which I plan on starting at 20mg/day, so $60/month is certainly manageable. Just didn't want to walk into a purchase completely ignorant.

Anavar can be very costly. If it were me, I'd probably find try to find a power source. Definitely easier said than done, but if you can find a place to get your powder tested (both pills and powder are faked a LOT with Anavar) that'd be golden. You could make a small test purchase, have it tested, and if all is good, order more. Unfortunately, in my experience finding a place that will test for you has been much harder than finding the powder itself.

That's the million dollar question. Apparently there used to be a few places that did it here in the states and were easy to find. Now it's harder to find such labs but word is they are around.

The thing about Anavar is that it is faked or under-dosed a lot. If you read reports posted on AAS forums, the opinions seem very polarized. Some people LOVE Anavar and have awesome resilts while others report almost no results at all. I would suspect that latter folks are using fake gear.

I've come across powder many times, even from sources with good reputations, but I never pulled the trigger. If I had a convenient way of getting it tested, that's another story...
