I am going to be competing in the NAGA grappling tournament in New Jersey in a little over a month. Looking for some workouts that will increase my grip strength. Preferably ones that don't require a special machine. I do have plate weights, dumb bells, a bench, squat rack etc.....

For grip try workouts that kill 2 birds with one stone:
hanging leg raises
pullups
chinups
Deadlifts

Working your forearm muscles increases grip strength as well.
Do some db forearm raises both pronated and regular.
try it with a barbell as well and behind the back.
You will love the way your veins pop out on those when you get that burn going:D

try the following

Towel Pullups 3 or 5 sets to failure

Towel Barbell Curls

plate pinchers

go to stronglifts.com and search some i found a youtube link and did the workout today my FINGERS were sore lol

farmer walks. or if you dont feel like walking. just pick up some heavy dumbells or whatever you have access to that is heavy and HOLD IT. thats it. pretty simple. simple and effective. i wear gloves when i do this because it tears up the skin on my hands. good luck.
