If you haven't tried ArmorAll's new orange micro-fleece drying towel, you should. Even on my black, it's a winner.

Do you use wax/sealant on your car?

Honestly, after you wash, you would benefit from using a "quick detailing" type of product. It will really enhance the gloss, and get rid of any of that "streaking" if there is any.

You mean like "Wax as You Dry" or something similar? I have it but have been hesitant to use it on black, afraid I'd make a mess. Black's tricky.

My poor Corolla needs a little TLC. I don't think it's been waxed in 2 years. It looks good when it's all shined up, though.

Now i may get hate mail for this, but i just feel like fate has delt me a hand that says, "Christopher, you must beat and abuse all of your women until they look like pancake mix"

Actually no... My girlfriend went out (who has health insurnace) and got me some Subscription sleep stuff called "Trazodone" .... it seems to be a Mild Antidepressant by i dont care.. as long as the fukker keeps me sleeping good.. i took one last night and slept for 9 1/2 hours lol

thats awesome... and it only cost 2.75$ for 30 pills lol

Glaze is not something that you would use frequently, only before waxing.. What do you currently use for wax/sealant?

What kind of car is this on?

Turtle Wax Platinum. It's a black '08 BMW 550i and my first experience in keeping a black car looking nice.

I'm listening and taking notes. Thank you.

Id use a better wax IMO..

When waxing you want to wash the car with dawn dishsoap(to strip the current wax), then polish the car with a good polish, then wash it again, then wax. After the car is waxed, you need to make sure you are using a GOOD soap, for future cleanings, as to not remove all your hard work:)

Get this stuff for your interior/engine bay it is VERY good. Much better then Armorall.

Also for your leather.. What are you currently using to clean it with, and what are you using to condition it with?

The Platinum was recommended by a detailer but I have found it to be very hard to work with on black. Please give me suggestions on a good wax and soap, if you don't mind.

I'm alternating Ortho Flex Emollient and Mother's Leather Conditioner on the leather. It's the tan buckskin color.

I use Mequiar's deep crystal car wash, Mequiar's NXT generation tech wax 2.0 i have also used the gold class from them also. I have used there products many years every since I was a teenaged boy working in a few body shops who used mostly there products. besides these few waxes you can get from any auto store they sell numbered system waxes that many use for car shows. That is if your wanting to make it "pop" but i can tell you that the show wax dosent last but it's not supposed to either. The regular two I said do last for a long time and the more coats you put on the better i think atleast. I have a dark silver/black truck and these products make it shine great and the wash def. never removes the wax such as a cheap soap will do.
