H Drol Cycle: It's a Wrap

Jim Nasium

New member
So I'm in the final days of my six week H Drol cycle that was laid out like this:

50/75/75/75/75/75

Today is day 35. The last day of my cycle will be next Tuesday, June 9. My plan was to finish out the cycle as strong as possible. Unfortunately some personal issues have gotten in the way in the past couple of days. I still plan on finishing the cycle strong, but I missed my gym session yesterday, and it looks like I may miss it today also. At least yesterday I did a short dumbbell chest workout on my multi-angle bench here at home, but the energy was just not there. I didn't get much sleep last night, so it think it may be best to focus on rest tonight, and kill my leg workout with a vengeance tomorrow morning in the gym.

My question is this: Does anybody, anyone, have any kind of advice to offer as far as routines, supplementation, or anything at all, so that I can make the most of the last seven days of my cycle? I could do the routines i was planning on doing which is a split like this:

Tomorrow (Wednesday): Legs/Shoulders
Thursday: Chest/Tris
Friday: Back/Bis
Saturday: Abs
Sunday: Off

This would seem to hit every muscle group, but maybe somebody out there in ForumLand knows of a routine that will absolutely blast me into the best gains of my life?! God I hope so, because I've devoted so much time and energy into this cycle and I want to end it right.

If you're reading this and you have some wisdom to impart, please don't hesitate to reply and any replies received will be met with the utmost gratitude and appreciation. Hope to hear from you soon, thanks in advance.

Jim, just finish the week out strong pushing weight. See where your strength is form where you started.
I'd like to here the results you've had on this cycle as well as what you'll be using for PCT. :)

GrayHorse, thanks for the reply and for the motivational words. As far as results, I don't think I maximized the cycle as much as I could have. Sure I leaned out quite a bit, and I got some pretty solid gains, but my workouts were poorly planned, and my diet could have been cleaner IMO. It is all a learning experience. I think even if I don't do another cycle, from the amount of work I put into this one I know that good results come from good planning, and a good clean diet. I may post some before and after pics so you can actually see the results for yourself but the last time I took pics was like a week ago so that would've been the end of my fourth week. I will definitely take some more when the cycle is completely finished. Thanks again!

Oops your other question, here is my PCT layout:

Weeks 1-4: Reversitol
Weeks 3-6: Anabolic Innovations PCS
Weeks 3-6: Lean Xtreme

Sounds good, remeber the cycle isnt over untill you finish your PCT. Hopefully you can keep all or at least 75% of your gains!

I am also finishing up my last week of my 5.5 week hdrol cycle. My advice for you is to push it to the limit each and every workout. Challenge yourself till failure on every single set - don't cheat yourself out of a great cycle. Once you are done with this make sure you take that same intensity and same drive into the gym during your PCT, I am planning on gaining during my PCT!!!!!!!!! as well, I hope you are too! Good luck

Heck yea brosiah. Today I had to make use of what was around me. I had no access to a gym or a home gym, so I went to the playground and did pull ups and chin ups on the swingset, and then did push ups on ground. Wow that felt really good and made me realize just how important these movements are, especially pull ups. I didn't get to work my legs like I was supposed to, but I felt like I made up for missing at least my tuesday back workout. Point being I'm still pushing as hard as humanly possible and I will hopefully way beyond my PCT..thanks for the advice nonetheless and I will keep you all posted as to how my progress is going.

Today I visited my new gym location and they had no decline bench. So I got on the ab bench and some dude handed me the dumbbells (thanks by the way)...anyway I'm not saying it wasn't a nice gesture, but I'm pissed that my gym doesn't have a decline bench because I already paid for my membership without realizing that my gym has no decline bench, and only one set of cables. I'm gonna have to use the suggestion box. Good workout though. Did what I call "Gigantic Sets"...read about these in an article by Johnnie Jackson. For my chest I did 10 reps of 6 exercises and rested after the 6th lift. Started with 10 reps of flatbench dumbbells presses, then switched to flatbench barbell, then to the incline bench, then decline presses (dumbbell as I mentioned earlier), then machine chest presses, and finally cable crossovers for one "Gigantic Set" that gave me one GIGANTIC chest. Wasn't going too light, but wasn't going to heavy either because these sets require more stamina than they do brute force.

For Triceps I did overhead extensions, supersetted with lying leg raises, and then finished it all up with some quick tricep pushdowns...that's all for now.

I feel your pain. My friggin gym doesn't have a frickin squat rack. But they do have a Smith machine that I'm sure is going to tear my knees up one of these days.

Giant sets are great if your gym isn't crowded because you're supposed to go from one exercise to the next without any rest until you've finished all the exercises. Most of my workouts for the past year have been super sets and giant sets.
