2009 Formula One season

Delta Force

PES Rep
For all race car fans a new Formula One season is up on us once again, F1 happens to be the pinnacle of auto racing, for this year some notably new rules are in place, new aerodynamic design that make the new cars look like crap but should allow more passing plus the introduction of kinetic energy recovery system (KERS), this one should make it very interesting as far as performance and reliability.

If you're in the US, Speed TV starts showing the Australia pre race shows tonight, here's this years season schedule. Enjoy!

1. Australia - March 29
2. Malaysia - April 5
3. Bahrain - April 9
4. Spain - May 10
5. Monaco - May 24
6. Turkey - June 7
7. Great Britain - June 21
8. France - June 28
9. Germany - July 12
10. Hungary - July 26

1. Summer Break

11. Europe (Valencia) - August 23
12. Belgium - August 30
13. Italy - September 13
14. Singapore - September 27
15. Japan - October 11
16. China - October 18
17. Brazil - November 1
18. Abu Dhabi - November 15

Cheers,

Any update on exactly what teams are using KERS? I know it adds a fair amount of weight to the car, but allows for a turbo boost like a video game lol.

Since F1 is using that system, I will give it a few years before cars start using it passively to reduce fuel consumption.

most top teams claim to have a good hold on this new technology but have not confirm for sure who will start off with it, they're being secretive about it for sure, for the exception of BMW they're committed to use it on Hiedfelt but not on kubica's car good approach till they nail it down.

It should give them a good boost once they use it, just like turbo charging those cars... as if they were slow or need more power! :)

Awesome thanks for the schedule. I love watching and hearing these cars rev up higher than a bullet bike. And the wrecks (always hope the drivers are ok) are freaking saa-weeet!!

yeah, those cars are a piece of art (they might not look god now but they did last year :) ) and those engines can crank out 20k rpm's although they are restricted them to a pitty 18k this year. thank god for tivo /c i could not stand watching this in the middle of the night.

enjoy!

BTW, if you're interested some time back I created a new group here called F1, to talk about all things Formula One.
