Mullet!!!

hey dude quick question

ive been running a search, i remember in a thread you posted a chart of the muscle fibers, type 1 , 2a,2x, that also had oxidative capacity ect. ive been looking for the chart i cant seem to find it, do you think you can re post it for me?

it was in one of those fasted workout threads...

thanks buddy

Type 1, and Type 2a I believe.. actually, I'm certain :D

Type 1 = slow twitch oxidative
Type 2a = fast twitch oxidative
Type 2x = fast twitch glycolytic

Yea I know. I just wanted the chart to show my teacher. The textbook is still showing type 2b. Not type 2x. And the charts is pretty awesome

The thread was called, "Why You Shouldn't Eat Breakfast". This is the thread where I tore into that guy for telling me Fasted-Training is useless, correct?

yea i told her that its no longer type 2b that its type 2x, she was like what? lol

shes said shell look it up,

its an energy and exercise class

Yes, Type IIb now refers to other mammalian fast-twitch fibers with extremely low oxidative capacity, and high glycolytic [myoglobulin] capacity. Type IIx is the proper nomenclature for what we refer to as, "fast-twitch". This being said, phenotypic variations ensure that, on average, only about 2% of your fibers will be Type IIx as an exercising adult - sedentary individuals have more Type IIx than we do; in fact, there is some conjecture among the exercise physiology 'brass' that a useful approach may be cyclic sedentary states to increase Type IIx fiber transition.
