I really really hate cricket

i think oz will take game 3

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to jakellpet again.

is australia that bad or is nz a better one day team than most people think?

dan vettori is a very underrated captain IMHO, we have a very young and inexperienced team who is working towards the next world cup.

can ponting make a difference as he's been urgently recalled back from his forced break, is it panic stations for the green and golds?

both NZ very underated throw Jacob Oram back in that team at No.7 and they are capable of beating anyone in the world.

Oram would have to come back as a batter as his back is pretty ****ed and he's always injuring it when he's bowling, also a guy called scott styris is also injured along with jesse ryder

our best bowler shane bond isn't allowed to play for NZ anymore, he plays in the indian rebel league, he distroyed australia llast time he played them

game 4 & 5 will be full on, if McCullum doesn't play then we're in real trouble

i know soseg will be watching every ball bowled when he's not playing EA cricket on his playstation

i will go as far as to say, no McCallum for game 4&5 no NZ.

and if that does happen our silly cricketers will carry on like clowns, then travel to SA and again get their backsides spanked.

imho the probelem with aussie cricket, not enough moustaches or mullets.

what would Richie B say...

lol gold
but i stopped following the premiere league, i only follow international football (soccer).

following leagues and the like kinda got dull for me... rather play a sport than watch others do it... international being an exception theres a pride / interest element to it

nz got dicked again

but good to see over 6 million raised though for the fire relief tragedy, i don't see any soccer organisation doing anything like this :stick:

A test match can be boring sometimes, but the one day (50 overs) are always exciting. I grew up playing cricket (Trinidad and Tobago), and it was exciting to watch or play. We used to play "wind ball" cricket as well (played with the ball they use to play tennis). There would be a can of water at each end of the pitch for the bowler to wet the ball with to give it more speed. I have played with guys like Brian Lara, watched guys like Michael Holding, Joel Garner, Alvin Kalicharan. Legends like Vivian Richards, Clive Lloyd. I love those test matches between West Indies and either New Zealand or Australia or England. Remember when cricket was only played in white pants and shirts (it's all colored, lol). Nothing like a pace ball coming at you at sometimes a 100 miles and hour, or a spin bowler throwing a leg or off break at you. LBW, as you step forward to make that defensive stroke. The umpire point that one finger in the air to signal you are out. Sometimes we would turn coconut branches into cricket bats. Yeah, I love that sport. We still play it here in Houston Texas.

2 of the games true greats - sir frank worrell and sir garfield sobers

i'm a big fan of the west indies bro, the teams of the 80's and early 90's dominated, you named some classic names.

one thing about the master blaster viv richards was that he never wore a helmet

Curtly Ambrose and Courtney Walsh were awesome, carl hooper, richie richardson, Greenidge & Haynes, Gus Logie, Jeff Dujon, Malcolm Marshall, Colin Croft, jimmy adams just to name a few

they loved coming to new zealand, i remeber the classic tour of the ealy - mid 80's, michael holding kicked the stumps out of the ground and colin croft shoulder charged umpire fred goodall when running in to bowl, classic times

AUSTRALIA vs WEST INDIES, 2nd FINAL 1983/1984 WSC

B Unit, you alright with me. I forgot about Gus Logie, he and I went to school together. My dad used to kick it with his oldest sister. In elementary school we discussed Sir Frank Worell, and Sir Garfield Sobers. You are right, the guys from the late 80's were awesome. Wow, you really sparked my memory with Gordon Grenidge, and Colin Croft, Richie Richardson. Richardson was a very good batsman, while croft. garner, holding (there was a guy named roberts, can't remember his first name), those guys dominated pace bowling. Do you still play? What position? I wickets keep.

That Richie picture had me giggling like a school girl! GOLD! cant believe you dont like cricket soseg....And i thought you were such a good guy too!:tongue2:

Side note: Game 5....OMG, how many heart attacks will I have. what a series! LOVE cricket!

Ranger I cant belive you played with lara? God damn, you named some of cricket royalty there mate. And your from Texas??!! I been to Texas(loved it) and I would have fallen over if I'd seen a cricket game being played man. Thats awesome some Americans rate the game. :D
PS How can you not like a sport you can watch and drink for 8 hours+:fest30:

andy roberts from memory bro, fast and accurate just like every other fast bowling great from the W.I

i don't play anymore, used to be a bit of an all rounder, better bowler than batter although i did hit a few into the terraces from time to time, it was the summer sport to play in new zealand, rugby in winter and cricket in summer, my bro still plays club cricket

we played a lot of backyard cricket, that was fun, used boxes for wickets, over the fence was 6 and out, all sorts of improvised rules to suit the area we played in

we also have indoor cricket which is fast and fun inside enclosed spaces with nets, more classic rules to suit

there's a new zealand website that sells all the old one day uniforms from the old Australian World Series, i got me an old new zealand one day shirt, i love it, thinking about getting me a West Indian one as well Invalid Link Removed

good times

first you need a version of photoshop, second probably a few thousand hours working it, lol, nah, there's a shitload of tutorials on the net but it does take some time to learn how the tools work, how to work on layers amd how to whack out a design super quick!

part of my job involves graphic design, i'm a photoshop wizz, i'm online all day with work so that's why i'm here quite a bit, i'm always browsing between jobs

soseg answers any and all questions with "cricket sucks"

yeah, if you get a hold of Adobe CS2 or any of the CS suites, you will have a nice arsenal of photo\ graphics design software. Thanks for the reps guys. Would love to come down under one day for a visit. Been there once though with the military for operation Kangaroo. Sure wish my cable company carried the cricket channel. Those were some fun times huh, as kids making rules as you go.....yep those innocent days. Do yall play "wind ball" cricket over there? If not, try it some time; wet the ball to give it some speed. Here, the indian guys (india, pakistan, sri lanka) like to wrap it with tape.

Haha, me and my mates always wrap half the ball with tape for swing, and one of my mates invented what he calls a port-0-pitch. Its bout a metre long flat rubber matt with random an various shape lumps/cracks etc on it. You can take it anywhere put in on ground and you got an instant pitch to aim for on any driveway or surface. the ball swing all over the place when it hits the mat. Its brilliant :D

we used to wrap a tennis ball in tape as well, we'd even add a seam with extra tape around the middle and also rough up one side so we could get the ball swinging, lol

my speciality was wrapping the ball in tape on one side only, friggin thing would swing and bend like crazy, good times

smashed a few windows as well, not to mention the irrate neighbours from having us in their properties getting the ball all the time

one summer, we had a concrete roller and used to mow the pitch and roll it before each days play in the backyard.

not sure how it works or if you have to pay or not

soseg might know

Haha! where IS Soseg....conspicuos in his absence! He's not one to shirk an arguement. or has he finally been bowled over(intended pun) by the sheer beauty, strategy and raw excitement that is international cricket. Game 5 Unit! I cant watch! too much for my nerves to bear.

Man reggae and Soca are the music of my country.

did you see that Texas billionaire Allen Stanford who's been propping up West Indies cricket for the last few years and also financed the million dollar 20/20 match between W.I and England has been arrested by US federal agents on major fraud charges said to be in the millions!

Lol, well I cant bag him for that (although soccer is a faggot game) cause I love blasting people online call of duty on my x box! :D

i just made that up about x box, i think soseg is still using his sega mega-drive from the early 90's, either that or a super nintendo.

Super nintendo used to have a game called "Super International Cricket " which was awesome in it's day, lol
