Nogeira/Washed Up! Fedor fights has/beens!

I dont care what anybody says about Randy or Heath. Both are legitamate hw's at the least. Hell, Heath went toe to toe with Big Nog back when Nog was the 2nd best HW on the planet. As for Randy, I consider him a worthy hall of famer and someone who is pretty dang close to his prime even at his age. Gonzaga isnt just some fluke fighter. Randy took a confident, young strong, up and coming huge fighter with an amazing BJJ game and just dismantled him. I dont care for Tim Sylvia at all, but Tim has a solid standup game, a ton of reach, about 6'6 of height, and also beat Arlovski twice. What did Randy do to him, he freaking dominated him like he was fighting a child. I could go on. My point is that Randy is very very tough fight for anyone he faces. I would argue that he's one of the best gameplanners MMA has ever seen.

Now, what happened with Brock and Randy?

Brock totally controlled that fight in every aspect and ended up beating Randy with his standup game. Yep, thats right, the same standup that you call slow. The same standup game thats so inexperienced that a damn nobody like choi could contend with. NO freaking way! Randy is an absolutely incredible wrestler, but Brock was a notch above him due to his strength, size and speed. Randy is also an above average standup fighter. Yes, he lost to Chuck twice, but he beat him once with 'dirty boxing'. He pounded the life out of Gonzaga(who ko'd Crocop, standing of course) using his stand up. Randy also nearly ko'd Tim and for 2 rounds of their fight, Randy just beat the mess out of Tim with almost nothing but standup. Thats the man that Brock beat. Plain and simple, Brock is legitimate and he's probably the fastest damn hw in the division. The guy can bench over 600lbs and has over a 30 inch vertical. Now, maybe thats enough to show that he's an athelete. Brock, at 291 lbs, ran a mf'ing 4.78 in the 40 yard dash. Yeah, he may not have a ton of experience, but speed isnt something he's lacking at all.

Do I think Brock would beat Fedor? No, like I said above, he's the MJ of MMA and he's one in a million. Frank Mir, even at his best(which was his last fight), would probably get destroyed in round 1 due to the explosive power and speed Fedor possesses that no HW has ever come close to matching.

Here's the summary for that one person who read all that. JOSH BARNETT HAS THE BEST CHANCE TO BEAT FEDOR AND JOSH BARNETT MAY BE THE MOST UNDERATED FIGHTER ALIVE. However, I'd still pick Fedor. I do think that Brock, in maybe 2 or 3 years of getting even stronger, faster, and more experienced could pose a small threat to Fedor especially seeing as how Fedor would have aged a little more by then. In 3rd, I think Randy would also have a slight chance, but more than likely, Fedor's judo skills would have him end the fight on top if Randy wasnt KO'd standing (which is most likely). My fourth contender (actually, I should just say meal, bcuz basically Fedor just eats the soul of anyone who competes against him) would be Anderson Silva if he could add a solid(and I do mean solid) 20lbs, just so he'd be in the same weight class. I'd pretty much guarantee that Fedor would throw em around like a damn rag doll and then ground and pound him to death, but I put A.Silva on here just because if Fedor decided to just stand with him, I actually believe the spider hits hard enough to possible stun Fedor and if he could do that, Anderson's accurate and quick enough to hit him right on the button about 65 times possibly before Fedor could recover. Thats about like me saying and "yeah I could probably fly, if I had wings, and magic powers, and didnt adhere to the laws of gravity and was God's one chosen angel". Anyways, I know Anderson's way out there, but I think I would put him in the four spot just due to the fact that I think he could beat any 185er or 205er and if I think he's the best 205er, then in my mind, he deserves to be on the list. Anderson has dominated like only Fedor has before him. He just refuses to lose and after wathching him beat hendo, I put him FIRMLY in my top 3 in the world.

anderson silva has walked around at 215 before. ^

also you cant bash lesner at all he has a game plan and he follows it and it works. hes not slow or bad. that guy trains hard. he has a TON to learn but hes done a damn good job from starting this late.

So many retards in here. Lesnar is slow? Lesnar would outstrike Choi? Barnett is underrated when he is the recognized #2 HW in the world? If you dont know **** about MMA then stay out of the MMA forum. You dont see me posting in the damn womens fitness forum.

i bashed lesnar btw. but i ****ing hate lesnar. we all have our opinions, now let me go put this cock back in my mouth. did i say cock, i meant foot.

that mid air KO is fkkn sweet! ive never seen that before

negz for crowpass comparing lesnar to choi and now to m coleman :nono:

for the record i was kidding about lesnar beating fedor at this time, but it could be possible in a couple years.

idk if you are referring to me on the lesnar outstriking choi comment, i never said that but i said Choi wouldnt take his punch. I dont go on sherdog or the mma sites like you experts so please excuse me, i just watch fights :)

I cant imagine what choi would bring to a fight with Lesnar. Yes he would be awkward, but I think we all realize Lesnar has "retard" strength. Granted Choi is ridiculous in size, but I could see LEsnar tossing him aside like a doll like has everyone else

Ask the 'casual' (which is about half of the MMA fan base now) MMA fan who Josh Barnett is and see what reactions you get? He's not underatted by longtime, real fans that study the sport and actually know that Pride existed once. By people like us, we know how great of a fighter Barnett is, but my point was that a ton of people dont know of him or of his skills due to the fact that he's not in the UFC and that the majority of his carreer has been spent elsewhere. Thats what I meant by that. Well, since I'm done with BJJ and conditioning work for the morning, Im gonna go to my boxing class now. Maybe after 2 or 3 more years of 4 hour a day MMA sessions, I can learn just a tiny bit about the sport.

Why should the opinion of casual fans factor into a fighters status? Barnett has been a top-5 HW for a LONG time and is one of the few that has any, albeit a small one, chance to defeat Fedor.

By your logic, Alvarez, Aleks, Overeem, etc are underrated even though they are almost unanimously top-10 fighters to those that watch MMA, not just UFC. This is reminiscent of when there where many of the best hockeys players playing for the Soviet Red Army; just because they don't compete in America does not make them amongst the elite in their sport.
