Cocaine and Methamphetamine have been used for medicinal purposes in decades past.

There are better things out there now.

Nothing has been created yet that is better than cannabis.

and canabis is a herb, not some pharmaceutical junk bro.

Theres not one therapeutic benefit that any doctor of any kind, that would reccomend Meth or Coke in the present year 2009. Those are two of the harshest drugs out there. Mixed with the fact that finding a good source of these drugs is dangerous in itself and people who create these drugs tamper with them, and who knows of what quality they are.

Im just slightly annoyed that you are calling us addicts man. It just cracks me up.:nono:Cannibis and addiction in the same sentence,gives me s---s and giggles.

Its been about 5 days since i stopped, and i dont have an urge or anything. I have no withdrawel symtons. Im perfectly normal.I actually could care less right now,really.

After a few years of chronic, daily use you realize it sucks your energy. Nothing is as good as that first toke of the day, the initial change of conciousness and the revelation. Any more beyond that is stupor, for people in chronic pain or anguish that may be helpful, but if youre seriously trying to buld and maintain muscle it can be counterproductive. In the classic sense MJ is not addictive. JMO
 
Is it true that Sativa strains give a more energetic buzz, and Indica strains give more of a body buzz? I never bought bud in high school. Whenever I did smoke, it was because a J was passed to me. Or when my buddy insisted that I had to try the gravity bong. I always felt a strong body buzz big time, and to be honest it is a bit too much. So I never smoked very often.

To stay on topic though, I think the only way it would benefit me in terms of building muscle is the appetite stimulation. When I get stressed out, I get a bit nauseated. Most people eat as a result of stress, I am the opposite though.

yes it is true, that sativa are energy types and indica make YOU NOT ABLE TO MOVE. Sativas are also more psychedelic.

But there in-breeds and out-breeds, so there a bunch of different types.

And yes, its possible to get too high, esp if u dont do it too much. Not fun at all really. Especially if you injest large amounts of brownies, no fun at all. Paranoia exists very much so, and it can be really bad. But just remember, you cant die

This is very true. I have read that the toxicity of alcohol is around 1:4. Which means you'd have to drink 4 times the amount it would take to get you drunk to die. Marijuana is somewhere around 1:30,000. You would probably die of smoke inhalation before you overdosed.

I have personally done enough cocaine that my body simply refused to have any more - and my mind agreed. Ditto meth (not the smoked kind, thankyou). They were compelling when I was doing them, but had they been truly - physiologically - addictive, I could not have simply stopped without suffering, without help, without assistance.

The thread is not about addiction, or about distraction; let's not let talk of one become the other.

Your right, it has become a colloquial term. Im addicted to videogames, im addicted to sex,ect....

Honestly, i don't like that colloqulism when applied to cannabis, because it creates much confusion. When you say addiction and cannabis, that can be confused with a true MEDICAL addiction. Addiction is a very specific word, and has a specific meaning. Yeah people use the word for other reasons, like plenty of other words. But that does not change its meaning.

So i get preturbed when people say cannabis is addicting, because thats not true, from personal (experience) evidence and scientific evidence. I get upset because many people think cannabis is MEDICALLY addictive,which it is not. And this just applie to the loads of misinformation of cannabis before.

When I was younger i told myself id never do any drugs. My opinion of Cannabis was very bad. I thought it was a very dangerous drug, to the likes of methamphetamine,coke,opiates,LSD,ect ect....
I really believed all the lies about it, until I actually tried it.

And this conversation is not straying from the topic at hand,marijuanna and bodybuilding.

We need to clear this addiction thing before we can move on.

I have been complicating the question and issue at hand a little bit and have intertwined dependancy and addiction a little bit, but in a sense I think there is still a strong enough relation between the two.

2 non-dopamine agonist drugs are supposedly non-addictive. Marijuana and GHB for example are in all meanings of the word 'non-addicting'. Enough use of GHB will produce a withdrawal (or withdrawal syndrome) in many users when one attempts cessation of the compound. I know that the same happens with some MJ users. When they attempt to back off, they feel disoriented and depressed, even if depression wasn't present before starting it. The addict's logical choice for the solution would be to continue MJ and avoid discontinuation syndrome.

I think this pertains to the subject Ari ;)

Yeah, this is true, but were talking about massive doses here.

High doses of weed and an effective bodybuilding plan do not coexist.

Anything can be abused.

People who smoke all day for several months,years,ect wil have withdrawel symtpons for 1 week to a month.

Smoking all day, everyday will essentialy render yourself as a stoner. Getting high all day isnt even fun.

and again, this is one of the reasons im taking a break.
I am taking a break for two reasons, when it comes to bodybuilding.
I smoke only at night, so therefore sometime i eat crappy food at night, which is by far the worst time to eat crappy foods. 2. It can zap some of your energy, it makes you a little bit more lazy at the dosages i was taking, but not that much.

Marijuanna and Bodybuilding are not the best of friends. Its not the worst relationship.

everything in moderation, i keep saying that, it gets kind of old, but its true.

But in no way, i wanted to smoke more than once a day. I wouldnt wake up, and say, i need to get blazed.
 
Marijuanna can have a place in a bodybuilding regimen.

You have to know when to use it.

It still grew in the last 6 months. I actually grew a lot of new muscle.

Its not good if you're trying to lose weight, which is what im trying to do, at least in my case.

I know lots of skinny stoners too though. People who smoked MUCH MUCH more than me.

Its all user dependent

Ari, are you blazing trees again?

I had one hit of.... wait wait...

SWIM had one hit of white widow last night and felt a nice buzz for a good hour and a half. He had a strong pull and didn't have adverse appetite effects. SWIM also had a cap of GHB in the last 10 minutes to help ease some workload stress.
 
geez........where to begin......most reefer today is a blend of both sativa and indica.......unless its a pure breed...the reason for a blend is for more output and shorter grow cycles...
and as for me .....i smoke about a half joint in the morning about an hour before the gym...... and maybe a few hits before bed time.... my hardcore days are over....lol

after all these years its more or less a life style thing .... but i have much respect for my friends on AA or NA.....[which i went to for a few years]..... i also have my jesus freak friends
....who talk about god almost non stop..which drives me nuts..
but i'd rather see them working than pan-handling or stealing..

please .....i don't mean to insult anyone....''ya gotta do what ya gotta do''

yeah most are mixes, id rather have one pure indica, and one pure sativa in stash, so that way you gots lots of flexibity

But in all honesty, the real reason im stopping for now, is that I have to move in with my parents. and i get uber paranoid, forget the smell, i just cant enjoy it right.

Swim right now only has Klonopin to help ease workload stress. But Swim has a prescription. Swim wonders how much better GHB is to Klonopin. Hes never tried it. But Swim uses Klonpin for insomia,mainly.

Same here. Marijuana was up there with cocaine and heroin in my head. All I really knew was from what DARE told me or from commercials.

The first time I got high I wanted to call an ambulance because I thought my heart was going to explode but my friends assured me that you can't die.

The past 2 weeks is the only time I have ever been smoking consistently and working out seriously. I don't like it. Which is why I am quiting or REALLY cutting back.
I am bulking so I thought it would be great cause I would eat more but I eat about the same. Marijuana sometimes causes me to have heartburn which is weird and it's hard to tell if I am actually hungry. I also sometimes eat too much.

I can feel my lungs dragging in the gym which I don't like.

I also enjoying feeling "on" like Omen mentioned earlier in the thread. Marijuana mellows me out even when I am not high.

I also hate smoking and then not getting high again. I just hate that awkward feeling 3 hours after you've smoked where you are kind of high but not totally sober so I usually smoke again.

I'd rather spend my money on supplements than on weed at the moment also.

Haven't smoked all day and I really don't miss it. I liked it when I used to smoke a couple times a month. It's more of a treat that way.

Yes, that Klonopin will be a b*tch to get off. The longer you're on it, the harder it will become. I'd advise you to seek the attention and advise/care of another psychiatrist before waiting too long.

Good luck getting a script for G. ;)

edit: Actually Xyrem is a schedule 3 substance for insomnia, so a doctor may be willing to prescribe you GHB.

At least hes not on a high dose, less than 1mg per day.

Yeah his stupid phycaratrist told him he could go up to 2mg per day. He gave him 60 1mg pills allowed for one month. He never used that much, but he had no problem letting him. He told him Klonopin was very benign.

That doctor was a total script giver, i asked for xanax and he gave it to him to. But he didnt like xanax over Klonopin.

Thanks for looking for my interests Fog though.

The stuff is really good for sleep though, better than anything else almost.
 
salvia and bud are two totally different worlds. If you are experienced in psychadelics you may be ok, but salvia is probably the most potent trip you can find. Good thing it only lasts for a few minutes. Prepare for a ride........

DMT is released from your brain every night when you sleep and dream. Every night everyone is taking a "DMT Trip"! Its endogenous and can be found almost every where in nature. There is enough DMT in a pile of Maple tree leaves to dose every person in a small city.
 
I always have wondered what its like to get high.
I've never smoked it before. Never touched a ciggie either. It's as common here in oz as it is in the states... when I went to college for a semester there... everywhere I walked you could smell it... walk from class room to class room in the trees people would be standing around smoking it.

Nobody believed me or my other mate that we have never smoked it, we were 19-20 at the time.

That said, I've popped 2 valium pills (not sure on strength) but man was that sweet. Everything was so mellow... I'd definitely give that a go again.

I'm very hard headed and stubborn.
In my early teen years I said I'll never smoke (parents do nad I fkn hate it). No matter what situation I'm in or peer pressure I have never even had an urge to try it. Weed or Cigarattes for that matter.

That and I know a few people who did it in their early years, ****ed school up, some went to prison as their addiction lead to stronger drugs. Really put me off.

Thirdly I can get randomly blood tested as part of my career - wont look good if they suspend my pilots license.

Weed is certainly much better than alcohol. I just can't get past the effects it has on my lungs. After a night of smoking I can feel my lungs dragging the next day. Or maybe it's just in my head...
 
one time i took some DXM before the gym 1. beacuse im a fukkin idiot and 2. beacuse im a fukkin idiot. Dont recomend it unless u have nerves of steel (like yours truly...haha).

Anyways, buddy at work hooked it up and i decided i would go to the gym. I'd say half way through chest workout i got off the bench and started robo walking slightly. 5 minutes later i felt like i was rollin balls. my coordination was all fuked and my eyes were blowed like i did a gram of white. I kept gettin the intense wave of feeling, almost like an orgasm, but i was acting like i was shitfaced. I was approached by a aquaintance (of much higher rank) and his words were " what in the fuk is going on with you, devil."
I quickly got my **** and left. It was interesting, a lil fun, but dont do it!!!! I really could have hurt myself seriously...... DO NOT ATTEMPT

one time i took some DXM before the gym 1. beacuse im a fukkin idiot and 2. beacuse im a fukkin idiot. Dont recomend it unless u have nerves of steel (like yours truly...haha).

Anyways, buddy at work hooked it up and i decided i would go to the gym. I'd say half way through chest workout i got off the bench and started robo walking slightly. 5 minutes later i felt like i was rollin balls. my coordination was all fuked and my eyes were blowed like i did a gram of white. I kept gettin the intense wave of feeling, almost like an orgasm, but i was acting like i was shitfaced. I was approached by a aquaintance (of much higher rank) and his words were " what in the fuk is going on with you, devil."
I quickly got my **** and left. It was interesting, a lil fun, but dont do it!!!! I really could have hurt myself seriously...... DO NOT ATTEMPT

I'm just glad you did it so when the opportunity arises for me to use DXM before the gym I'll pass on it.

salvia....def some crazy ****..last time i encountered that crap i though my body was melting to the couch i was sitting in...its pretty intense for like 5-10 mins....gave me weird pins n needles feeling too... like your foots asleep and whatnot...def stick with bud...salvia is in a whole another ball park

and i agree FOG bud>alcohol...no hang over and you can eat the **** out of some eggs and oats...

Hell yeah. There is really nothing like a bowl after a workout. It is a rare treat for me but when I do I get the most out of it.

Ok so I was thinking about something and I figured why not start a discussion about it here.

I wonder why marijuana ended up being nicknamed Mary Jane...
