Im derailing this thread? You posted 4 times in a row bitching at me. But Im derailing this thread. Ok. Ohhh, tough guy. "Id hand it to if you were next door." Man, you are such a little girl. Little man syndrome? Ill bet money if you didnt know my height, you wouldnt have even mentioned it. Im glad you can completely profile someone over an internet post. One hell of a degree. Even though youre the one who got all worked up and were adamantly bitching this entire time, Im the one whose trying to overcompensate. Im glad youre oh so wise. If you really want to know what I do, I handle constituent work and do bill research and tracking. I basically do bill summaries for the house member to read and decide how to vote and track bills that interest our office. I rarely help with bill drafting. Thats what I do. You know, getting coffee and stupid inbred things. I wasnt an unbelievably strong flyweight, I was a lightweight, and relatively strong considering most fighters at my weight. You made a comment about it, I explained where it was from, and now I guess youre bitching about it somemore. Had I just explained that I wasnt stupid with no background, you would have bitching at me for saying "Im not stupid" with no sound reasoning to back it up. Redneck ignorance through bumper stickers? The ratio is pretty stacked towards annoying liberal bumper stickers, and I dont really get how bumper stickers are relevant in general. I dont have any, but Im sure you "knew" I did thanks to your psychological profile. Ive met more than a few californians, and theyve all been the same. Everyone who I know who moved there, military, school, whatever says the same things. Cry about it some more. Seriously, you seem to be perfectly projecting everything you say about me. Go ahead and say youre sitting there laughing, like you somehow arent worked up, cradled over your computer with nothing better to do. Jesus, at 35, you should be way grown up past this, but I guess liberals dont act their age either. Im done, if there are only Gaytors, Sooners, and bammers, this is a football talk hell. And for the record, Im not a homophobe, not at all. I know, I know, its great to polarize things, but you dont have to hate gays to not be their biggest fans and supporters. Saying Im stupid, derailing this thread, overcompensating is a great tactic, it makes you seem in control and much smarter. It doesnt make it so, but it sure has made everyone buy your brand. Enjoy your supieriority. You are a king in your own mind. Thank goodness you dont play ULM this year.

Yes, because through no fault of their own but tiebreaker rules was Texas not allowed to win their conference. This is usually what I hear from USC fans. Who honestly believe that winning your conference is the ONLY way to be a good football team. Hell, if the SEC rules had been in place in the Big XII, you wouldnt be saying that right now. So because of the rules, Texas wasnt allowed in.

Nice...centering..I didnt bitch in the first place, it was the california bammer who has dedicated this page to me. I dont give a **** if Texas doesnt have your sympathy anymore. Why would I care? Florida is argueably the best team...what a convienient statement. It merely says, you could make a case that they are without saying they are. You could do that for any team in the Top 5. And the FMJ thing is very original. Never heard that one before. Clearly you got a gold star for thinking outside the box in school.

Reggie Bush did jack **** until the last year or two. Even then, for what he gets paid, the Saints made a poor investment. I would have rather given the saints an everydown back like something along the lines of michael turner. A better comparison is the OTHER heisman winner, the QB counterpart of VY. Leinart. Hows that going?

Yeah, people are falling over themselves to meet Oklahomos. Shut up. Florida will rape you. Another team who just shouldnt be in the NC, Florida got lucky again.

Seriously, are you still here? Your feeble attempt at a rebuttal is laughable and beyond pathetic, but nice try though private cowgirl. You seriously sound like a jaded social reject. Take your false sense of texas sized pride and shove it where the sun don't shine.

How many times are you going to use that lame "gold star" statement? Are you just envious of the fact you never attained one in school yourself? I'll tell you one thing that i learned in school that you most certainly didn't, it's called the proper use of CONTRACTIONS!

Here's some help.......you're welcome!

Even notice the proper use of a contraction in this pic as well.

Uh-oh... Alabama's Outland Trophy-winning LT Andre Smith is out of the Sugar Bowl for improper contact with an agent.

May sound insignificant to some of you, but this guy IS the left side of Bama's offensive line. I've never seen so many pancake blocks in one season. Good thing the Tide's been running more often to the right as of late.

I'm still a little intrigued by Auburn's hire of the Tulsa OC. It's either going to put them back near the top... or it's going to backfire horrendously like last year's attempt at the spread. They had to do something to attract offensive recruits, and this definitely adds appeal to their program. We'll see.

Man, the SEC is going to be downright crazy next year!!! Besides Auburn's new staff, Spurrier's due for a good season, Les Miles' and Mark Richt's prides are hurting, Petrino will have a passing attack, Tennessee has the Kiffins, Houston Nutt has Ole Miss on the move, and Florida and Alabama have most of their key players coming back, along with a lot of talented recruits. What a conference.

Good lord, phillistine, why in God's holy name would you be in California? Its the largest collection of ****ing idiots this world has ever seen. Any shred of decency, morality, respect, and all things good and right are thrown out the window in their culture. The land is great but...the people are just such flaming shallow *******s. I know because a ****ton are moving to Austin and frankly, are ****ing it up. Austin was a great town but the dipshit jackass out of towners who dont know how to act right just are wrecking everything that made Austin great.

There is no crime in loving where you are from. Before you assume Im a slack jacked inbred, I originally was going to school on an academic scholarship for engineering. Not exactly the dumb type. Now I work at the capitol on a legislative staff.

Floridas loss - Ole Miss at home by 10, Ole Miss is rounding out the Top 25?
Texas' loss - #7 Texas Tech in the final seconds, still ranked top 10 in the BCS
Texas' Schedule - Harder

And I have heard all of the "Texas is going to get stomped. They are just too good! Look at their offense." Except last time, ESPN called it the best team of all time. Im sure we all remember 2005 Texas-USC.

Running up the score every game doesnt make you a unstoppable offense, it makes you trying to do all you can to compensate for a pathetic loss at home. Texas, like Alabama, has a ball control offense. They dont go for the 15 yard passes, they get the 5-6 yards and have a 10 play, 80 yard drive. It pays off in the 4th and wins games. It doesnt reach under the covers and start getting flirtacious with voters like OU/Floridas style does but it works much better. See OU-Texas. OU didnt forget to show up, they scored 5 TDs and Texas didnt take the lead until it was late in the game. Besides, tell you dont want to see Orakpo sack Tebow a few times. The SECs dominance isnt unmatched anymore.
wow!!! i havent been on this thread since big 10 season ended..and i must say, i walked in to one hell of a mess here...dude..i cant get it through these guys' head that the big 10 is NOT weak or "sedate" as one user lamley puts it. i seriously believe that penn st. will shock the college football world at the rose bowl...laugh all ya want but I AM AND NEVER WAS IMPRESSED WITH USC.. " there good" but very beatable especially by strong/aggressive big 10 style def. seems like ppl here just hate on "out of sec conf fans"..

Ahhh... the return of fallacy. How ya been, plenny? Happy Holidays, buddy. I missed disagreeing with you. Really, our back-and-forths have always been in fun, and I now see what it's like to bicker with someone who doesn't have a sense of humor like you do: thread retardation. Oh, and thanks for never calling me a stuck-up liberal, btw.

Not hatin' here... but seriously, just answer this: What does the Big Ten really have at this point, besides your Penn State? I'm sure you saw what a mediocre ACC team did to Wisconsin. Michigan is just horrible. Ohio State are the kings of choke, and are likely to get handled by Texas. Northwestern and Mich. State are middle-of-the-road at best. Even you compared Iowa to Auburn as far as where they fit in their respective conferences, and that says a lot about PSU. Unless there's a colossal breakdown by USC, which I don't foresee, your boys are going to get slammed. Forget about the Oregon State comparison. USC's heard that all month, so look out. Don't you remember how Ohio State's strong/aggressive Big Ten style defense fared out here against the Trojans. Yeah, I know... no Beanie Wells. Last I checked though, Pryor and Wells don't play defense.

But even if Penn State wins... what else does the Big Ten have to offer?

Just so you know... I don't like USC, mostly due to my Cal allegiance... and I'm pulling for Penn State in an upset, however unlikely it is.

He'd fit in well at Miami. Just needs a better OC than we have now, Pat Nix.

Well, Pat Nix got nixed today. Any rumors on his replacement, jmh?

EDIT: Wtf is going on in Miami? Now Marve's leaving and wants to transfer to an SEC school.

And plenny, it's not just us SEC guys who perceive the Big Ten as weak. Right or wrong, the conference has earned that distinction in high-profile games:

"Victim is a strong word. It suggests helplessness, a finality of outcome. But the word hasn't been slapped on the Big Ten champion like a peel-off luggage label. The league has earned its notoriety. In this decade, the Big Ten is 0-4 against the Pac-10 in the Rose Bowl, and the scores give an indication of the chasm between winner and loser.

2008 Rose Bowl: USC 49, Illinois 17
2007 Rose Bowl: USC 32, Michigan 18
2004 Rose Bowl: USC 28, Michigan 14
2001 Rose Bowl: Washington 34, Purdue 24

The league's problems in the Rose Bowl date so far back that Washington, 0-12 this season, helped contribute to them.

The Big Ten is 4-9 in all BCS games in this decade. Seven of those nine losses came by at least 13 points. Only one of the four victories came by more than a touchdown. By contrast, two of the four came in overtime."

What did I miss? Apparently a lot...lol.

Anyhow, I got a chuckle out of this :

Don't celebrate this bowl win, Seminoles
Matt Hayes
Sporting News Today

When your punter is the MVP of a bowl game, when your quarterback runs better than he throws and your coach says in the postmortem that he has a quarterback that can "take us back to the glory land," it's time we all see Florida State for what it really is: An average team in an average conference with an iconic coach holding onto the game that means everything to him.

What's even funnier, is that supposedly FSU fans actually chanted "Gators Suck!" and "Let's Go Sooners!" in the fourth quarter of their "victory."

That's classic stuff right there.

Trauma, Old Gator... we are being invaded by inept cretin(s).

Yeah, the whole 11 posts (tchsdrummer) give it away.

That and pretending to be a Bama fan but telling you how much Bama sucks is freakin priceless. Yeah, lots of Bama fans do that LOL.

It's amazing to me that tchsdrummer actually got the correct Bama avatar!

All the recent Gator beatings have them muttering "Gators Suck" in their sleep.

I'm not sure how close you've been following along with the NCAA investigations on FSU (FSU has done a good job of keeping it hush hush), but FSU is about to get hit HARD. It's only going to get worse for them...

You're right.

So after this Florida team that shouldn't be there buries OU I'll advise Urban Meyer to send the trophy to Mack Brown.

Thanks for setting us straight.

Bro I wouldnt count the sooners out just yet...the game has to be played and there's no doubt they've got one hell of an offense (if not the best in the nation). I wont talk any sh*t with ya but if I were you I wouldnt be talkin any either.

ok...im gonna pull out the ol' "weather" topic. now, lets suppose this usc-psu game was played in central pennsylvania...according to accuweather thursdays temp will be 25F with a fierce nw wind..not to mention were getting snow tommorrow morning...now, pasedena IS homefield advantage for usc in their "fair" weather environment..how would "mighty" usc perform in a "big 10" climate? my guess, they would completely suck and be lucky to put up more than 1 td...any thoughts?......i love this weather S#@t.

On second thought... I completely agree with you.

USC 7
PSU 0

No disrespect meant. It's the Texas knucklehead that got my dander up trashin' the Gators.

You should also take a look at the graduation success rates. I know Florida is in the top 25. Notre Dame and Duke are at the top, of course...

Interesting to note, of the BCS bowl schools, Texas Tech is at 79 percent, Penn State at 78 percent, Virginia Tech at 75 percent, Cincinnati at 73 percent and Florida at 68 percent. Alabama is at 44 percent and Oklahoma is at 46 percent.

On the other side of the coin is the fact that a lot of large schools are going to have lower rates because they have a higher number of transfers from the program because of competition, as well as a larger number of athletes leaving early for the pros.

Our fans did that because of all the Gator fans that showed trying to heckle us. Why the **** would you come to our bowl game with full on Gator apparrel and route for Wisconsin? My dislike runs deep but I wouldnt come to their bowl game and do that. We can hate each other but that's just disrespect.

You got a hard on for the Noles? Always got some **** to say about them. The annual rivalry game has long passed and we romped on Wisconsin, why dont you worry about your own bowl game now?

In case you missed it, this is the College Football 2008 Season thread. I'm pretty sure the article I posted was relevant to that fact.

Anyhow, every fan base has it's idiot fans. Case in point, UF/FSU in Tallahassee this year. Percy Harvin, injured, who cheers? The entire student section. What did the FSU faithful follow up with? "Tebow's next"...disgusting. When Julio Jones exited the SEC Championship game due to injury you didn't hear any Florida fans cheering. That's the difference between our programs. FSU is nothing more than a shell of it's former self, irrelevant, and about to suffer sanctions from the NCAA.

I actually feel bad for the program a little and what it has become.

Wow, LSU was all over Georgia Tech! Looks like they finally found a QB. I'm pleasantly surprised by LSU's readiness for that game. Les got a little of his swagger back tonight!

The SEC's lookin' good early on. On the other end of the spectrum... the mighty Big Ten is 0-3 in bowl games so far. Not that I'm surprised or anything. Must be all that fair weather.

Lol mighty big ten...your funny.

i like iowa over s carolina tonite.

You were right... the Cocks were flaccid. They lost the last four games by a total of 149 - 40. The Ol' Ball Coach better find himself a QB and a defense in the spring. Georgia over Michigan State, so I guess the Big Ten and SEC will split it this year in two pretty meaningless games. Too bad Penn State or Ohio State couldn't play in the Sugar Bowl.

penn state lookin sharp early....7-7 game:bb3:

Right... Haven't I seen this Rose Bowl before? What a mismatch. I think I'll skip the 2nd half and go to the gym, where I'm sure I'll see at least five guys who know nothing about football wearing their Trojan apparel.

Sorry, plenny. I was hoping for an upset... but we pretty much saw this comin'.

Big Ten: 1-5
SEC: 3-1
Pac-10: 4-0 (???)

Big Ten: 1-5
SEC: 3-1
Pac-10: 4-0 (???)

Is that how the bowl games have come out so far?

My plus one for this season would be to see USC play the winner of the Fl,OK game. just cause

Big Ten: 1-5
SEC: 3-1
Pac-10: 4-0 (???)

Is that how the bowl games have come out so far?

Oops... make that 5-0 for the Pac-10. Still, I went to a lot of Pac-10 games this year, and I just can't make a case for USC. You pretty much have to go undefeated in a conference that has no championship game. C'est la vie.

Ahh, I am tired of USC getting the rap for being in a weak conference. They'll handle themselves just as well in another conference. They had 6 1st round drafts last year I believe and are looking at something like 12 drafts this year. They have the #1 defense in the country and when they loose their seniors they just roll their next in lines into place and bam! They are contenders.

I'm also a Cal fan, so I know all about USC's dominance. Oregon State has just been a thorn in their side the last few years, and it has cost them big-time. If the Pac-10 had subdivisions, a la the SEC, ACC, and Big 12, they probably would've had a chance to avenge the one blemish on their schedule... or at least had an opportunity to play one more game against a ranked opponent, just like Florida and Oklahoma did. Not that I care though... I just want Cal to get to a Rose Bowl in my lifetime!

Cal was pretty good last year. This year I just dunno. I thought they would do better. I think they will next year though.

First and foremost, they need a QB. Riley and Longshore were both horrible. Jahvid Best is incredible, but completely underutilized. The guy is Heisman material, but he just doesn't get the carries in most games because Tedford wants to throw the football... even if he doesn't have the quarterback to do it.

CopyCat, you're a corpsman? I was in the Navy for six years as an AT. That's what brought me to California. I got out in '98. How long have you been in?

May will be 9 years and it's what recently brought me to DC from SoCal.

9 years, dude... that's past the point of no return. You have to do 20 now! I sometimes wish I'd stayed in. I could've gotten the education I have now during that time, and been able to retire in February 2012. Ahhh... hindsight is always 20/20 though. Anchors aweigh, my boy!

I would imagine D.C. is much different than SoCal.

Repped back!

I'm working on my last 2/3 classes for my associates right now. Then I'll move on to my BS. I do plan on staying in and retire when I'm 40. Plenty of time to start another career then.

Absolutely true. I just went into teaching a couple of years ago. Sounds like you've got your head on straight. I wish I had back then!
