Hope you are feeling better, hospitals always make me sick if I have to go to them. Germ factories!

Whats funny is there were appointments on 2 different floors in 2 different buildings (4 total rooms) and when we hit the basement of the first building and got in the room...I felt it. I got real dizzy out of nowhere and had to sit down to focus in on anything. I knew i'd get sick then.

I hate hospitals.
 
Ha, I had a slight fever today and I also dosed ecchinecea.

It's the w00t.

I am going to up the dose by a pill each time taking it in hopes that the results will come fast. I am defninitely sick...so now I need to work on getting it to go away.

I found this study that tested the use of probiotics in treating common cold(rhinovirus), and influenza. More evidence to support one of the many amazing health benefits Gut Health provides:

Four hundred and seventy-nine healthy adults were supplemented daily with vitamins plus minerals with or without probiotic lactobacilli and bifidobacteria. The intake of the probiotic had no effect on the incidence of common cold infections (verum=158, control=153 episodes, influenza was not observed), but significantly shortened duration of episodes by almost 2 days (7.0+/-0.5 versus 8.9+/-1.0 days, p=0.045), reduced the severity of symptoms and led to larger increases in cytotoxic T plus T suppressor cell counts and in T helper cell counts.

Gut Health is awesome Rob. Definitely give it a shot! I was using NOW's acidophilus and I made the switch to Gut Health. I'm glad that I did!

Gut health is good stuff. I got a lot of cultures from eating Greek Yogurt every morning.
 
No update today everyone...I feel like crap and need to get back to bed, work sucked, shopping sucked, I didn't workout, I had WAY too many carbs because of trying to superload echinacea with Vit C (oranges/orange juice to the MAXX).

Back on track tomorrow. If I still feel awful....I will at least stay on track nutritionally if I can't force a workout.

Yeah the price definitely helps a ton, haha...but it's great either way. I have been very happy so far! I just took a pre-bed dose to try and ward off any remaining illness in my sleep.

I think i'll feel better tomorrow...I mega-dosed the Sh!t out of Vit C and Echinacea today!

Last year when I caught a cold my remedy was circuit training....so maybe i'll formulate a little circuit and rock it out :)

Hey Kyle...glad to see you stopped in. I'm sorry I haven't made it over to your log in a while. I am a fairly tough person to offend...but a few comments there were off color for my taste, so I backed out for a while. I'm sure i'll be back soon though!

To add to Christine's idea. You can also mix one part apple cider vinegar one part water. Bring to a boil and then turn off heat. Just breathe in the vapors from the pot.

It'll clear the HELL out of you. It down right burns, though.

I am going to do a light workout just to get active and then I may just have to try one of those ideas. Unfortunately I don't have any peppermint oil...but I do have apple cider vinegar.
 
Messed around with a KB today, Deuce. It was pretty fun. I don't know what exercise it is, but I had a squat stance starting with the KB in the middle and then you stand up and as you bring the KB up as in a DB Front Raise, I switched hands and brought it back down with the other arm and finished in the downward squat movement. Did that back and forth for a little while.

Those are KB swings. I start each KB workout with 5 sets of 20 reps. I love them, haha. How many kg's are your KBs?

11/20/08 - Day 46

Overview :Well I have mixed emotions about today. It was nice at first because my Brother, his wife, and my 7 month old niece are staying with us for a while...so it was cool to be able to wake up and play with a baby, haha. I enjoyed that. I also told myself I was going to workout today and I started to...so that was good. The bad was the fact that the pressure right behind my eyes was too much for me to take and I had to stop working out. It was awful all day long today...horrible sinus pain. I am feeling a bit better now...so hopefully sleep tonight will knock it out!

Another down point is my numbers were off again because I am still pounding away at the Vit C and since I don't have a C supplement...I have been relying on orange juice which is crushing me on added carbs.

*** just a quick note :
A few things today actually.
1. I got my AlltheWhey wildberry flavor in tonight. Had a scoop with 10oz. of cold water when I got home from work. It might be because I am still congested, but it did not taste like a blueberry muffin to me...which is how i've been hearing it explained. It is however, very tasty. I'd certainly reccommend to others!
2. Started my 2nd bar of Java Lather soap today. I am too lazy to go back and find out exactly when I started the 1st bar at the moment...but I have to say that it's 100% worth the purchase price and I suggest it to anyone. Leaves your skin VERY smooth even with the grainy/earthy texture of the bar. It's refreshing to know that it isn't just fabricated garbage like most soap products out right now.

3. Placed another 2 important orders today. one will be bringing me Java Lustre Shampoo to add to my stack with the NoXidant and Virile Mane. That same order will also be bringing me DCP for my 2nd run of it this year! Another order was placed for more coffee from West Coast Roasting company. Truly a delight for a morning pick me up :)

Thanks buddy. I'm a firm believer that once you've done so many things towards your goal...that a "divine spirit" or something of the nature...gives you a little nudge in the right direction...and things start to come together.

Overview :Man...I hate my job. I'm sorry to start this off as a downer, but it's really got me annoyed now. I have spent a great deal of my time busting my ass and giving solutions to the problems at this place....and today I got my annual review. aka - my yearly slap in the face. I got a 3% raise. After I did the math I figured out that I will be getting a whopping $20 more a week. Yep...company sure does appreciate all i've done.

Otherwise it was a good day. My girlfriend and I had a spat because i'm a moron and was pissy about my lame job...but I apologized a few hundred times. Eh...whatev...here's the day.

I have thought about looking around, but in our economy right now, I don't know that it's a wise move. I feel disrespected and unappreciated...but i'm also making decent money and have full medical and dental benefits with a 401k.

This is all temporary until my training career takes off....but that is not exactly 2 days away either, haha

Until that time, I guess i'll just have to keep relying on the super generous and caring people that have been helping me out with supplements and such to play around with. Specifically Matt Masuda from MST, and Christine and Matt from RPN.
 
11/22/08 - Day 48

Overview :I'm not sure whether it is the cold I have, or the fact that i've been taking more than the recommended dosage of Cre-02 for at least a month now, but I have been very thirsty for the past 3 days or so. I mean...I can chug a glass of water and be thirsty 5 minutes later. Mouth feeling dry and all. For that reason, I only took "earthy" type supplements today. Mvp, Gut Health, noXidant, etc.

Not much to report today. Work was insane, I pulled it out (as usual). I didn't get any appreciation for it (as usual). I finally got to see my girlfriend...that was nice. Tomorrow we might be able to hang out again before I work...that would be nice.

Nothing today....more than likely have some fun in the morning though.

Overview :I have found yet another reason to hate my job. Get this...if I forget to bring food/shakes to work...I have to eat poorly, or not eat at all most nights. I WORK IN A BUILDING WITH 6 DIFFERENT KITCHENS!!! Unreal. It's like people get culinary degrees so they have something to use to put cookies on when they come out of the oven. Morons. They can't prepare a single healthy dish. Even if I ask someone to just get me a chicken breast and some veg...I get a breast covered in salt and veg drowned in "beyond" (butter alternative used by most restaurants). I hate it.

I messed up on diet today because of this. My carbs were too high because it was the only things available...and even after a really good workout earlier, my cals were really low because I didn't want to eat too many things that were bad choices.

Being that far under on a workout day concerns me though...especially since my body isn't primed for it yet. I feel really weak today (even though I just woke up), and i'm hoping it doesn't have a lasting effect.
