Songs that STICK in your head

I have a huge problem with Guitar Hero and Rock Band. WTF ever happened to actually learning an instrument!?

I used to feel the same way rod. However, the game is actually quite fun to play though. It in no way substitutes for jamming with my stratocaster, but it is fun in a goofy sort of way.

I've had Tubthumping in my head for 10 years. grrr. Same with the Chili's babyback ribs commercial.
I echo Steely Dan. God they suck, and they stick with you...

A strat? Get this man a Les Paul, a real guitar, quick fast and on the double!!!:hammer:
(just playin bro)

Discipline and patience are not virtues most kids practice nowadays. It's much easier to dole out about $100 and be able to play whatever song you want with your friends, without having to learn the real way to do it. I play neither Rock Band nor Guitar Hero, but I'll admit I picked up my brothers guitar and tried to learn, quit in about a week. Plus, I don't really have time to learn and practice anyhow.
My Les Paul sounds really good when you crank the amp to 11.
I'm just saying........

Oh, it doesn't keep me from jamming on my Ibanez in the least. Though a bass not a guitar, it suits me well.

And it doesn't stop me from rocking the Skin Flute.

:jaw:

* Last summer a friend of mine was telling us about his sister's musical exploits. Apparently, she was a child prodigy in several instruments, including the piano, the violin, and the cello. At one point he went, "she can literally just pick up and learn any instrument she wants". So I ask, "Well, has she ever played a Skin Flute?", and he replies, "No man, but I bet you any money if you showed her one she'd learn on it real quick!", in an incredibly proud tone. I almost wet my pants I was laughing so hard, and after about 10 minutes I was finally able to say,
"Dude, do you know what a Skin Flute is?"
"No"
"It's a penis Tristan...a penis".

BWAHAHAHAAHA... You dont get those types of moments usually. But when you do, all the failed setups are worth that 3 seconds of glory. :D

Anything from The Steve Miller Band, and Beyonce. Makes me , damn they suck.

Anytime I hear "I'm a joker, I'm a smoker..." my mind starts screaming Laser Life from the Blood Brothers. Don't know why I like them, though.

You must not know-bout me....

All time classic!!! From Cruel Intentions soundtrack, classic movie as well.

I'm lucky, most of the time a song is stuck in my head it's one I like.

'Walk' and A 'New Level' by pantera get stuck in my head a lot,
and 'Tired of Being Alive' by Danzig, specifically the 2nd verse.
'Never easy, never clean
to be a beast among human sheep', I just really fixate on that line a lot for some reason.

Is she 18 yet? :jaw:
hanna montana, miley cyrus, whatever she calls herself these days...this might sound odd but when i first saw her i thought she was cute...for being on the disney channel...but when i realized how young she is was when i noticed her teeth and how..small they are. weird? idk but they look like baby teeth and i don't know any grown women who have a set of teeth that look like they just grew in. lol in any case, i rather go with hilary duff. she's already past the 18 mark ;)

These guys are in second place.
The sound level on this one is a little low...TURN IT UP!!!

Tool is great. Saw them live in '02. best show i've ever seen.
Saw the stones a few years back too. they still got it at their age.
I was born too late to see Led Zep live.

Oh yeah... the TOOL show I seen in 06 in Mannheim Germany was the most amazing experience. Man... I wish I could go back.

Actually 'The Doors' are my absolute favorite of all-time. Always have been, and always will be. Led Zep is right up there too, but nobody outdoes 'The Lizard King' Imo! :)

I actually have a les paul also. I had a telecaster at one time as well, but i let it go.

Nothing beats the 'Bite' that a strat has imo! :)

Hendrix FTW! However, Jimmy Page made the 'Les Paul guitar' into a legend. :D

Clapton was using a Les Paul into an 18 watt Marshall with John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers.

Jeff Beck was using them too around that period. I agree Page is what made them legend.

Hendrix was awesome, no doubt. Page is better though, AND he didnt kill himself after only 3 "official" studio albums.

Clapton really didn't make a name for himself though until 'Cream'. Who are also one of my favorites. :D

Jimmy Page had his own problems with heroin bigtime. It's actually a wonder he didn't off himself. Better than hendrix? I disagree man. They were both equally important to the rock movement overall.

I mean come on man, hendrix played a right handed guitar upside down and restrung accordingly. The guy was and forever will be immortal in rock music.

So, if i take a left handed guitar, restring it and play it right handed, you will think I'm the man?:toofunny:

dont get me wrong, i love hendrix. BUT, i give the nod to Pagey.

I did buy a Paul instead of a strat for a reason. Now....if I can get a Marshall that goes to 11....
