FINAL REVIEW
First, the quantitative:
Wt: 184 lbs (-2)
BF%: ~7(-2%)
Major Lifts:
Dips: +10 lbs
CG BP: +20 lbs
BB Rows: +30 lbs
Push-Press: +35 lbs
Deads: +35 lbs
Almost all other lifts improved 5-10 lbs
Now, the qualitative:
1. I had a different training style than last time I used XF, which kinda changed the efficacy. Instead of low volume, low rep, strength/power oriented training, I switched to a more traditional hypertrophy with strength/power included.
2. I got much more intense DOMS due to the different training style and more strength, but it did not have the same effect on my physique. Last time I was able to cut about 4 lbs of fat and add 7 lbs of muscle.
3. I still lost a good chunk of fat and gained some much needed strength from this stack. Wish I would've eaten more throughout to take advantage of the recovery improvements.
4. I experienced only slight lethargy throughout. Nothing more than just a little more difficult to pry myself out of bad in the morning.
5. I really enjoyed the synergy of the XF and Drive. Made for some great WO's and also my cardio improved and stayed consistent even during the periods when I wasn't training as much as usual.
6. Didn't have nearly the amount of nagging pains/inflammation as last time, which made training much easier.
7. My power, not just strength, improved dramatically. My training partners would all comment about how much more snap I have on my strikes and takedowns.
On a scale of 1-10, I would give this run a 7. I gained strength, lost fat, and improved my cardio, but I didn't see much in the LBM department. This is partially my fault and I am really just happy that I didn't have setbacks in my performance because logic says that I should have. I want to thank Jjohn for the XF and I want to apologize to RPN for me losing the DCP. The Drive included was from my own stash, not from AN.
