So I went to Wal-Mart today to pick up some grapeseed or cottonseed oil and could not find either near the corn, canola, and veg oil. Am I looking in the wrong place or do I need to try another local store?

Wow, Cottonseed like the stuff you rub on a baseball glove to make it limber? Yeah If you do not cook with it it won't be on that isle.
You can probably go to a health foods store for both.

What is your purpose for these oils? Many oils can be found in your grocer's organic section.
