Cannibal Corpse
Throwdown
Soilwork
Iron Maiden
Ozzy
Devil Driver

I just can't get into the hip-hop. I am there to lift, not to dance.

The ones in bold X2! Cannibal Corpse is HANDS DOWN the most brutal band that has ever and will ever exist! To one of the dudes above; F**k Thrice increasing your bench. They don't even get me pumped up. I mean c'mon their singer actually, well, sings, lol. I need some hardcore SCREAMING with TONS of AGGRESSION! Lamb Of God, SLAYER, Pantera, Deicide, All That Remains, Hatebreed, Darkest Hour, Earth Crisis, ZAO, ALL OUT WAR!! All Out War is becoming my fav workout tunes. Assassins In the House of God = GOOD STUFF. I highly recommend everyone check em out for sure.

I maybe a lil way off here but it looks like hateful, demonic, "I wanna f'n kill you" music wins here hands down? :run:

It's just the only thing that gets me all amped up neo. The hardcore vocals, fast drums, deep bass, heavy crunching guitars, ugh I LOVE it! I simply cannot lift to rap, classic rock, or anything other than METAL. I sugest you listen to some Hatebreed. Not all bands listed say "I wanna f'n kill you." Hatebreed is literally THE MOST INSPIRATIONAL and MOTIVATING band I have ever listened to. You become empowered. Just try em out, you might like it :) They're all about prevailing thru odds that are against you and proving people wrong who doubt you. Superb neo, superb.

If those bands can't get you jacked for a hardcore set then you need to go home and bake some muffins and take up ballet.

Zack De La Rocha is one of those twits I'd probably wanna pop right in the nose, if I talked to him for 30 secs.
But you're right about the music -- flat-out kicks.

He does seem a little nuts. Although I love him for cursing Ann Coulter lol! (shes such a *****)

EDIT: And yes their music is amazing.

Rage was talented but i cannot stand their politics.

Eminem, Disturbed, AC/DC, Atmosphere, Rammstein, Wu-Tang Clan, can all get me going.

rage IS talented. Theyre back together. some of their politics are ridiculous i will agree. and go wu tang! WU TANG CLAN AINT NUTTIN TA **** WITH!!

AC/DC and Wu-Tang -- good choices.
I actually have Ghost Face Killa's manager's cell phone number in my cell's phonebook.
[Hmm... doesn't sound quite as cool as I thought it might, lol.]

Did you ever get a chance to see RATM and WU when they were on tour several years back? One of the best concerts I have ever seen.

Does Danzig have any songs besides Mother (and Mother 93, lol)?

I had a friend who loved danzig and he let me borrow some cd's in high school. They do have some good songs.I couldn't tell you the name or anything, but I liked a lot of them.I think some cd's were better than others too,but I guess thats normal.I seem to remember alot of songs using the bass as lead guitar basically.I thought that was cool.

Danzig has several good songs out there, especially in their earlier years. I think there two first albums were the best...Danzig and Danzig II Lucifage, both are filled with good songs. There music started to change to more of a goth feel when they released Danzig III all the way up to their last CD, Circle of Snakes.

If you like Glen Danzig's voice, you should check out his earlier stuff with the Misfits and Samhain.

Stuff I just added:

Divine Heresy
Amon Amarth
Job For A Cowboy
Dying Fetus
Mudvayne ( just a few songs)
Iced Earth
Vital Remains
Nodes of Ranvier ("Glass Half Nothing")

If anyone else knows some real heavy bands, post em up. Always looking to expand my library.

Have you listened to the new DOWN CD.....Phil Anselmo's voice is great as always.

I didn't know they had a new one.I liked the first one better than the second, but i'll check it out.I love dimebag.I play the guitar(not so much anymore)and my 3 yr old pit's name is Dime.I didn't like Damage Plan though.I just couldn't get past that damn singer sounding like every other new singer.Phil is the man. They all make pantera's greatness, and Dime is amazing, but Phil is the $h!t!

Normally for weight training, it is an ever evolving mix of rock including As I lay dying, Heaven shall burn, Taking back sunday, Thursday, etc..

As an alternative, just a few months ago I dove into the realm of the iPod Podcast, which are free to the best of my knowledge. The con for the Podcast is the inability to skip tracks unless of course, fast forwarding. I've done a little research into the file format which is mp4, it appears that you only need an mp3 player which is compatible with this format, I have an iPod shuffle so I can not disprove this theory.

However, if you search the DnB podcasts, you will find a multitude of files. A valuable piece of information about DnB is that it is produced at 180 bpm, which is your optimal stride count per minute for endurance running. My sport is endurance running, which is a different monster than the cardio for fitness athletes, but if you are worth your salt in the fitness business you will be hitting about an hour of cardio and you will be in the runners high zone, not concentrating on anything but just feeling the beat.

A few I have found to like the most are by: DJ Scribbler, Liquidsoundz, Drum & Bass Arena, The Drum N Bass Podcast, and Kongkast. An excellent non-DnB but techno podcast is Radio 538: Tiesto's club life.
