That's just too much of a joke for me. People get on Fedor for fighting HMC, but HMC is 10x the threat that Mizuno is.
I want to see what exactly happened in the JZ/Aoki match. Apparently he took 2 or 3 shots to the back of the neck. It was a ruled a NC. I wonder how the next round will pan out. Their was only 7 tourny bouts and then this no contest, so who knows.

No ****. I totally ****ing agree with you on that one! I watched the fight on Invalid Link Removed and it looks like the first elbow lands on the scapula or perhaps right under it. If I got blasted there with a sharp elbow, and there happened to be a tendon or nerve exposed.. I bet I wouldn't be able to lift my arm either.
Aoki is a *****! Seriously, how many DQ wins does he need?

12-6, yes, but it has to be that way exactly-ceiling to floor. Elbows to the head are also illegal in Dream.

Cheap shot by JZ, downward elbows that close to the spine are not cool. Those could have done permanent damage to Aoki.

It's really upsetting because I was really looking forward to that fight and I am a huge fan of JZ. Top-5 P4P fighter in the world IMO.

I'm not sold on him being top-5 P4P, maybe top ten. I don't think Aoki was likely to win that fight. JZ really fvcked up. I wonder if they'll just have them fight a rematch in the second round since only 6 other fighters advanced. Who do you take in a Penn/JZ fight?

An in-shape Penn beats anyone from WW down. JZ is a big LW, but BJ is a freak.

Agreed. JZ/Sherk would be a great fight. That would be tough to call, but I would probably go with JZ.

8 inches from the spine? Good lord, are you taking Rogue pills? 8 inches from the spine on Aoki is about 3 inches off his shoulder into the air. JZ was trying to label Aoki with downward elbows to the neck.
Did you see the Baroni/Hose fight? Haven't seen it yet, but apparently it was a really good fight.
CC went from #17 to #25 with that win.
