Yeah, I don't like Filho or Arona. I recently saw a video of Arona and Filho hanging out and talking. Arona is huge. He looks about 235 and ripped.

I saw that vid, too. Arona is a freaking beast, especially at 5'10". Filho lost some of my respect in the MW GP back in '06 when he *****ed out and Kang fought with a torn something in his right hand.

Yeah, that was bullsh*t. They both seem to have fvcked up attitudes in general. Arona looked ridiculous in that vid, made Filho look like a little kid. What was the deal with those bite marks on his arm?

Filho + Arona are ridiculous. Brazilians with a traditional boring american L+P fighting style.. I can't believe they had any fans over in Japan.. I was ecstatic when Arona got KO'd by Soku, and was equally enthralled when Sonnen was beating Filho's ass.
Regrettably I think Filho would have a moderately good chance against Anderson, although I doubt they will meet up anytime soon.

I disagree.
Let's assume the only way Filho will fight Anderson is either:
A. Zuffa ratings get stagnant and have to cross promote within organizations, pitting champ against champ. This is unlikely.
B. Filho gets out of the looney bin and fights someone ( sonnen ) and loses his belt. Maybe he even loses a rematch/rubbermatch. Then maybe Zuffa moves him to the UFC, drops Ace Franklin to WEC. Filho lines up against Anderson. Unlikely, but not farfetched?
Only after Filho gets beat will he be re-motivated.
On second thought, seriously, who has Filho beat?
Misaki is noteable, but has always lost to bigger wrestlers ( trigg, marquardt, henderson)

I did change my mind mid post. It was awkward, I admit.
I was just saying that Zuffa may move him up just to try and get their moneys worth out of him.. he has an undeniable record, and while his opponents have been OK, it's not going to deter Zuffa from trying to do something with him. Furthermore, Anderson may need opponents with Lindland not joining the UFC anytime soon.
They just wouldn't move him if he was the champ.

OK, I gotcha. Maybe Zuffa will start having title bouts between both promotions. Anderson will fight Filho, and Rampage against Doug Marshall:toofunny:

LOL exactly my point. They could never do that in their right mind. It'd be like the fat heavyweight from the IFL getting what he has asked for.. a fight against the #1 in the world.. ass whoopings in every dept. Condit gets destroyed, Jamie Varner gets destroyed, Marshall "KDs" no one.. LOL.
Seriously though, the WEC wouldnt suck so much if it wasnt hyped as "the best." If Zuffa admitted it was the minor leagues, it'd be a lot better.

Yeah, it's definitely the minor leagues. I'm not sure why they stuck Filho in the WEC, but hell, it looks like he belongs there based on both of his fights. What if Marshall somehow KD'd Rampage. I would give up on MMA if that happened.

I don't know why he got stuck there, maybe to add legitimacy to their ranks. I mean how long do you think they could get away with overhyping their fighters ( like razor rob ).

Marshall KDing Rampage is laughable. Let's see if he can even get past Stann, which I actually hope he does.
Silva likewise would punish Filho. Paulo's too short to try and trade with him standing so you know he's looking for the takedown. Granted Silva's takedown defense isn't great but if he can tie him up in the clinch or stuff a takedown he can get a few shots off and rock or KO Filho. I think Anderson's bjj is good enough to neutralize Filho but who knows. It's a fight that's unlikely to happen so no really need to ponder the outcome.

I hope you're right. I've got 150/50 on Serra/GSP with TheMouth, so GSP better come correct. I hate losing 150 bucks, but no one wants to lose to BWFDB, just playin Mouth.
