Need a good secure email account

Anyone know of any good secure email accounts available for free? Hushmail and safe-mail are no good anymore.

Just use a highly secured e-mail provider (i.e. Gmail), then make your IP anonymous by using a proxy program while using your e-mail account.

Or, you could simply type up a standard 'filename.TXT' file. Encrypt it using any number of software packages, and attach the encrypted file to the e-mail. Or, something similar.

Well no offense but why would you wanna post your secure email account provider on a heavily trafficked board such as AM? Seems a lil silly...

There are better boards for this type of information.

S-Tools is a hardcore program for encrypting files.

I actually saw this on an episode of 'Law & Order: SVU' one time. I thought it was made up, but that show is based on several real events. In this episode, a pedofile was taking nude pictures of children and hiding them in image files. For example; he would take a folder of child porn, then encrypt it so that it could be placed in an image file of a lake or sunset. He'd then send that picture to his NAMBLA friends. It would send as a family-friendly picture, but when opened, it contained child porn.

Pretty interesting program.

I don't think the discussion of secure e-mail providers is really that much of a concern. If I wanted to be low key, I wouldn't post my secure e-mail address. But, the legitimate existence of these services is well known.

We all thought cyber and hush were impeccable but we found out otherwise after ORD. I would just make sure I'm dealing with trustworthy sources and everything should be fine as long as proper precautions are accounted for.
