How big do you wanna get?

Yeah i guess we all want his body, im thinking 1975 My Olympia's body... Although many people believe that was not arnie's peak...

i want to be much bigger than that, i think i may have said this before, but i want to be more like pudzianowski than arnold
 
pudzianowski is huge... are you a powerlifter? or more into the lean look/athletic look?
 
I'm sitting at 6'2 228lbs about 12%. Come summer I will be about 230lbs at 5-6%:D When it's all said and done I'm shooting for 240-245lbs 5-6%, which i want to be at by the time I'm 30.
 
Do you plan on being 5-6% year round? cuz that would require alot of work... lol

5'9" 195-200lbs @ 8-10% BF, Thats really all the more i'd need. I have already talked to different baseball scouts & coaches, and Im by no means "huge", and they tell me if I got much bigger they'd make me lose size, which is no fun.

I'm not too far off of that so I hope to be there by Jan 1, 2009

He doesn't look like a strongman tough. He is leaner than most offseason bodybuilders.

you have a point but personally i never want to be powerlifter strong maybe have strength like jay but not like ronnie etc... its just personal taste i guess...

Yeah me either, but if I did want to be powerlifter strong, I would want to look like him..not ronnie.

No just more or less in the summers when I'm on the beaches. I can maintain being lean with not too much of a problem as I'm an ecto/meso.

In the winter I don't really let myself get above 12% anymore. Too much of a pain to take the fat off while keeping muscle. Basically I'm tired of playing that game of getting fat, then getting cut. So much stress on my body I've decided it's just unhealthy. For now though I'd love to get close to 230 at 5-6%. Not sure if I'll get there but I'm shooting for it.
 
Yeah I rarely get above 10... thats only when I'm like not lifting for months...it is hard to cut...and annoying.
 
well i am 6' tall, even. in high school, i was a 155lb basketball player, now i'm 231lbs at about 12 to 15% bf. i wanna be 260 and under 10% bf. hell yeah.
 
ive been constantly debating on this recently. Im starting to lean towards a really lean look and not so bulky. maybe 200 @ 5%. Alot of females are saying im big enough already and some think im too big, but you know, sometimes its what you want personally. Id like to know what its like to put up 400lbs on the bench and have 20 inch guns lol maybe once i do that ill cut down and be satisfied in the low 200's shredded.
 
Piston I hear ya but ya know what when I was single I thought I worked out for the ladies. Not saying that it didn't play a part but now that I'm married and don't have to impress anyone I still find that urge to look bigger and better. I found out I really do it for me because it makes me feel good to be in shape and be perceived as such. Who would of thought?:D

thats all you need man, as long as you have a goal and the drive to get you there, its just a matter of time.... soon youll be thinking, "Damn it wasnt that long ago I wanted to be here" :bb2:
 
i want:
180 lbs @ 10% bf, then
190 lbs @ 10% bf, then
200 lbs @ 10% bf, then who knows - maybe this is where is stop, look back, and jump for joy :)
 
Yeah that guy is extremely vascular... I dont know anyone who walks around that vascular. lol not to mention his forarms are HUGE
 
WOW creepy i have the same desktop pic of Mcgrath. as of now im bigger and leaner then he is in THAT picture but he is a true monster when he does shows. ive met him few times and he made me look small. size wise i always wanted to be 260 lbs but thats a little rediculous. the way i see it is this. for a 6 foot person u get to like 230-240 CUT. ur big/cut , everybody likes u, u get laid alot. any bigger and no1 likes you.
 
I'm currently 6'4" and float around 188-191 and am at 9% bodyfat. I'm a swimmer, and would like to be at 205 or so and 8% while I'm still trying to compete. After those days are over, I think it'd be cool to be in the 225-235 range and around 8%. Its gonna be hard to get there though, always been a hard gainer and its taken me years to get to where I am.
 
my dad and other people always said i have a track and field or swimmer body. They are probably right but ive been changing that. I dont think i could ever pack enough muscle on my frame to compete, even with a good amount of muscle i still cant fill out my frame, just to long i think....probably gotta get past 250 to actually fill out the frame to freak status.
 
Yeah I had a realllly reallllly lean body a while back, but I'm slowly gaining
 
id love to reach 220-230 naturally. im 6'2 183 right now. i was very close to 190 but had my wisdom teeth takin out and i lost 10 pounds over a week and a half to 2 weeks(cuz i could hardly eat) :/

I've reached a point where I don't want to be too much bigger, it seems like it is affecting my overall athleticism (I'm also tired of my arms going numb every night..haha, I didn't realize anyone else had that problem!). Being over 200 pounds at 5'8'' and trying to stay agile and fast seem to not go together well. My 2 mile run time has suffered significantly since I started putting on mass - even though I still do a lot of cardio to keep the run times down.

I guess my goal is to keep all the muscle I have now, and be around 8 or 9% year round, and be able to do my 2 mile in 12 minutes or less...it's around a 14 something now

My unrealistic goal... would be to look like Arnold and to run like Michael Johnson.
