John Allessio v. Brock Larson was just announced

The classic Striker v. Grappler fight.

Alessio beat Diego Sanchez in my eyes. But I don't know if he can KO or Sub brock.


I'm excited for this fight.

WEC card set for March.
 
Is Alessio really a striker? I thought he was more of a grappler, but I've only seen him fight a couple of times. He seems very inconsistent. Sometimes he just can't pull the trigger.
 
Hes great on the ground also... but not the "Wrestler" type. Him and Diego was as exciting as they come though from a rolling stand point.
 
The entire card so far:

Paulo Filho vs Chael Sonnen
Doug Marshall vs Brian Stann
Brock Larson vs John Alessio
Kenji Osawa vs Chris Manuel
Marcus Hicks vs Ed Ratcliff
Nissen Osternick vs Bryan Barker

I wonder if Filho will look like sh*t again, not too pumped about this re-match, but it should be decent. Larson/Alessio should be good. Stann/Marshall should be a war. I've wanted to see that fight for awhile.

I agree, he looked pretty bad last fight. It seems that he may not be the only Brazillian fighter that was juiced up in pride.

And WTF is up with this supposed controversial ending. Sonnen should be thanking the ref for saving his arm from certain removal from his body. He had NO SHOT at getting out of that arm bar. Look at how deep it is.

I hope Sonnen gets subbed again because he is a cry baby and cant accept the fact he was stupid and got caught. He was killing Filho on his feet and for being stupid enough to go to the ground he deserved that loss.

I was kidding about the controversial ending. Sonnen was about to take a year off if the ref didn't stop it.

I agree with you guys that Filho looks like absolute crap now. Maybe by now he'll be somewhat acclamated to his juice free body?

Choosing the Brazillian over an American? What gives Norris? Anywho fvck that. I irrationally hate Filho and Arona. I hope Sonnen KO's his ass hard and Sherdoggers rave about the "PWNAGE" for days. I also hate that they're juiced up, but still love Wandy :blink: Yes, it makes no sense.

Stann-Marshall should be dope. Too bad I don't have Vs. :whiner:

Contrary to popular belief, I could care less where a guy is from as long as he isnt a complete douche bag. IE GSP.
I understand you cheering against a fighter because of their absolute worship all over the web. Part of the reason I was so happy to see Serra TKO GSP.

GSP in the ring is great, although I stand by my claim that his standup is good but nothing that special (Semtex would destroy him standing, not joking here). GSP bugs me personality-wise, reminds of Van Damme or something. Anyway he's the best there is and fairly exciting so I don't mind him being champ. He'll destroy Fitch IMO. And Serra annoys me more than GSP.

Wow, and I thought you were a pretty decent guy. You seriously can't stand Serra and GSP and you like Matt Hughes. Character flaw.
 
I don't think he's a great guy, and he did come across pretty annoying on TUF. However, his annoyingness is nothing compared to Hughes "My way is the only way, I'm better than everybody attitude." Hughes is a narrow minded *******, Serra is just mouthy. GSP I'm unsure of. Seems pretty cocky, but like a real nice guy. Hughes performance on TUF 2 was far worse than Serra's performance on TUF 5, IMO.

No hughes is just a no-nonsense hardworker that will give you sh!t for being lazy. He doesn't like the half-baked waste-of-space type which bothers you :twisted:
