Liquid Tamox?

This question is a little off subject but i wasn't sure where else to go. My cow's been really sick lately. I noticed she was having pain in her nipples when I went to milk her. The vet gave me a spray bottle of liquid tamox to help her however failed to give me instructions. Do I spray it on her and rub it in, or do I need to have her drink it?

well if its in a spray bottle and ur doc gave it to ur cow, then spray the area

...but i mainly hear that other cows drink it
