unlike something like pot, and by the way this is strictly opinion with no basis in fact, if you get caught with something like steroids, I think you'd have a better chance of them letting you slide by giving them some macho bull**** like wanting to be an Army of One and all that bull****. They are against drugs that detract from your duties.
Like I said - opinion with no basis in fact... but if I were an army sargeant I wouldnt give a **** - you're training to murder people with your bare hands; a little extra strength and size couldn't hurt.

sorry but this is far from from true. if you test positive for steroids you could be looking at jail time, if not definitely an article 15. the chances of you getting popped 1 in a million. if you compete your chances are much greater then. i know one guy that got tested twice but he was a bodybuilder and his 1st sgt had a hard on for him. besides him I don't know of anyone ever getting popped. but if you do and u test positive ur in some ****. If u do have a bottle of superdrol u can get away with it because it was once legal u could just say that u never threw it out and bought it legally a year ago. as for real steroids stay away from them.

If they are looking to get rid of you, as with the guy you mention above, I'd agree. Otherwise, unlikely. As you said, 1 in a million.

The original Superdrol isn't legal. However, Superdrol NG is. So long as the substance you're consuming is legal, you'll have no problem in the military. My father, stepfather, and some close friends of mine have been/are in the military. Everyone, except for my father, was/is into bodybuilding and supplementation.
If you look around the forums here and search on Google, then you'll find a list of banned substances that the President (though, I disagree with his decision) has signed. There have already been a few bans and I'm sure there are more to come.
So, since Epistane, Propadrol, and Superdrol NG are all legal, you should be safe. Unless, of course, they're deemed illegal at a later time, when which you would have to switch to another legal alternative.
I know some military recruiters here in my area that strongly discourage the use of any supplementation, legal or not. They're probably just old-fashioned.
